1 Review for “Harry’s (Raffles Quay) ” - Nightlife

We went during Friday lunch. Everyone was happy with the food and the TV (diving competition going on), except with the menu and the service staff.
One of us order a pasta and ask if it is tomato based like the picture shown. The eventual dish turn out to be cream based. And our reply gotten was that we have to specify for tomato based, else it will be cream based. (???). When asked if we can change it (since my friend did specify tomato based), the service staff say will have to check and went back with the pasta. When he came back, we are told of no-exchange. Ok, my friend starts poking at the hateful cream based pasta and the waitress who took her order came back and say can change for her, if she insist. In the end, my friend choose not to change as she did not want to wait for another dish to be cooked, but with unhappiness bottled up.
For me, I was told by a friend that Harry's Fish & Chips is nice and I thought the picture in the menu fits my craving for the day. But the eventual dish turn out totally different: not because of the chef's failure, but because the fish&chips-lookalike picture was meant for another fish dish (can't remember was it "fillet" or what) which another friend ordered. Luckily the non-fish&chips-lookalike still taste good with spice.
They know that pictures on the menu can make people feel like eating, but they forgot to put names to the pictures or at least put the pictures at the right place.
When we are making payment, we asked about credit card discounts, and was told that Citibank offers 10% discount. But again, we got a 180 degrees change in answer, the discount does not apply for "Happy Hour" (lunch time is happy hour???).
Luckily there is no service charge and no GST (rather strange for a chain restaurant), hence we-pay-what-we-saw per the menu price.
Ok, all the bad words, still have something good: the clam pasta came with a lot (a lot!) of clams.
