5 Reviews for “Hideout Cafe (Bedok)” - Restaurants
Well, it is indeed a fun and enjoyable HIDEOUT place for working class people. After a long day of work, go there to relax and play some brainless games to relieve stress. Had a wonderful night there. Others' laughters can make you deaf.
Whole place is CRAZY!!! Hahaha. You will definitely feel younger. Hahaha. Oh ya and the "forteit" tree, punishments to the loser. Some of the punishments quite daring too. Last but not least, service is excellent and staffs are friendly and patient. WILL BE BACK!!!!!!
Rating:
Value for money --9/10
Service -- 9/10
Selection of games -- 8/10
Stress relief -- 10/10!!!!!!

All the reviews seem to be written by their own staff? Perhaps Yebbers should have one gathering there one day. Who's on?

It is indeed a wonderful place! The games are all pretty different from eachother. There is always something new to expect whenever we changed game. The staff are pretty good in the games, and were all pretty friendly. I must say the customer service is good, especially the skiiny guy... haha...
Though there is lesser selection of food as compared to other cafes, i must say they are rather different. because instead of the usual western, which we can get at the 85 market, they actually offer selections of pizza, and at a very reasonable price. And I heard from them that there will be new flavors and new selection of food coming in soon. My friends and I indeed are looking forward to these new additions! And I just dunno why... their fries and nuggets are nice!
The forfeit tree added on to the fun of it all... cos with the crazy things behind each forfeit leaf, we were all making sure that we do not lose the games... forgetting completely about our pretty image... but all in all... it is FUN!

Hideout cafe is a cool place to hang out after you enjoy great fun from the block 85 hawker center which offers plenty of great food.
The ambiance of the place is nice and cosy. They have friendly and energetic staff serving and also serve some tasty finger food, pizzas and tarts.
Its a great place to hang out after school or during the weekends with a group of friends. You would be able to hear people screaming and laughing over the games they are enjoying.
From party games to strategy games, the games are engaging and fun and can keep you occupied for a few hours!
Its a place worth visiting with friends and family!

True to its tagline "The Escape to Great Fun", HideOut Cafe is indeed a boardgame paradise! The cafe is well-stocked with a good variety of both strategy and party games, that kept us very well entertained for the entire 4 hours. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously, especially with the forfeit items.
The friendly and attentive staff were always ready to recommend new games to us at the slightest hint of our restlessness. What I like best was the cozy couches and platform areas that makes the cafe a good chill out place with friends and family.
The packages were really value for money, very worth while considering the amount of fun we had. Its also conveniently located near the famous supper haunt, Bedok 85 market, what more can we ask for?
The friendly owners of the cafe and the well-trained staff made us feel at home immediately. Service is good despite being a newcomer in the slew of boardgame cafes in Singapore.
Thumbs up to HideOut Cafe! We will definitely go back again!

Board Games Galore at HideOut Café
The Escape to Great Fun!
Singapore, November 2007 – Board game cafes are the latest playthings in town! No longer will you be restricted to the nostalgic monopoly and cluedo, HideOut Café has more to offer. With the wide array of board games, imported from the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and other countries, that are available at the café, you would be enthralled in the intriguing world of games.
HideOut Café is the latest addition to the small but growing stable of game cafes in Singapore. Set amongst the rustic surroundings of an old neighbourhood, HideOut Café stands out in the old world charm. Decked in soothing shades of white and grey, juxtaposed against a striking touch of red, the interior deco gives a contemporary minimalist feel. Complete with white billowy curtains, low coffee tables, roomy couches and a cozy platform corner for greater privacy, the café boasts a relaxing setting for game playing.
Indulge in the world of game fantasy as you travel round the world in 80 days, build your own colonies and settlements from scratch, sabotage fellow miners to pave your way to find gold and trade in the stock market, all these in a short span of a few hours. For an added edge of fun, HideOut Café also offers a selection of “forfeit” items such as outrageous afro hair wigs, fluffy angel wings and ridiculous animal caps, amongst others, to enhance the fun of game playing.
“Playing board games used to be something that only takes place in the home. So with a similar concept, we wanted to recreate a homely and cozy café setting, complete with a huge variety of games, to entice everyone to join us in the fun of playing board games in the comfort of our “home”,” shares Bernard Sim, one of the three owners of the café.
At HideOut Café, you can delight in the selection of more than 50 board games, comprising of entertaining party games to de-stress after a hard day’s work, and mind-boggling strategy games to stimulate your mind. HideOut Café is definitely the perfect hang out place for anyone who wants to escape to great fun!
HideOut Café is located at Blk 84, Bedok North St. 4 #01-45. Tel: 6242 2426.
