Another alternative to the famous pepper crab at Joo Chiat Place. They use crab from Sri Lanka.
One of the chief has left the old Joo Chiat Place to join this restaurant. Reservation is recommended to avoid long wait.

You can smell familiar taste of the black pepper crab if you have ever been to the famous black pepper crab at Joo Chiat Place.
When we reach there at one of the Saturday at 8pm, there was still a long queue of people waiting for seats, hoping to get a taste of the famous dish. We got a seat without waiting for long as we have made a reservation.
Ordered steam prompet, fried mid-wings, kangkong, soup, hot-plate deer meat, five-spice dish and of course 1 black pepper crab and 1 chilli crab. Total price incl drinks cost around $230 which we think its more pricy compared to the old Joo Chiat Place.
The crabs though medium size is able to satisfy a table of 8 adults 4 children and it stands out of all the dishes.
One point of disadvantage is the limited parking place.
Nearest HDB parking lot is at Serangoon Ave 4 within 10 mins walking distance from the Plantation Ave.
Overall rating is still good considering the cleanliness of the place and friendliness of the staff.

Hmm my friend ate there and said only the crabs good. The rest so so..

I went there too, I find the crabs there really worth it, the most important thing is there are no GST & service charge...A place whereby u can get good crabs at value price.
