Kuishin Bo is the first to introduce a new dining concept in Japanese buffet meal, with a wide spread of food from sashimi, seafood, sushi, tempura, teppanyaki, yakitori, mini paper steamboat to soba and ramen.
The complete meal includes starters, desserts, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
The menu changes regularly so that diners can come for more meals without eating the same standard food. It's a great restaurant for a buffet meal, with friends, colleagues and the entire family.

Feeling like having some japanese food and well we wanted to stuff ourselves. So my friend and I decided to give kuishin bo a shot. At 28.90 for the lunch buffet we thought..why not.
Was a bit disapointed that the sashimi was limited to the maguro(tuna) salmon n tai(seabream i tink). only tried the salmon n tai. both were actually quite ok. iv honestly had worse at an alacarte buffet joint and well another place where i will not name.
The teppanyaki items were actually good. i enjoyed the salmon, beef and chicken. white fish was nothing to shout about but the other 3 especially salmon was quite ok.
HAving tried tempura during dinner at nara the nite b4 i surprisingly found the tempura here better. it was not soggy, still crunchy and hot and not totally drenched in oil. i liked the prawn, soft shell crab. oh and tried the flower crab. quite good. there was meat in it and not juzt the shell with little meat. i ate one only as i couldnt be bothered to dirty my fingers.
The sushi was limited to nigiri- salmon, unagi, tamago, and some others. maki was quite intresting, had mango and apple maki items, but i enjoyed the soft shell crab.
The cawanmushi was good.piping hot and silky and good.pidan tofu tasted like plain tofu to me. sharksfin soup too. not that fantastic..tried the seafood fried rice and the curry..okla..ntn to shout abt.
desserts wise.i enjoyed the tart and the cream puff. the mochi too. mini donuts remind me of those frm marcial kobe.
overall.spread was kinda limited but ok i guess. quality was average. probably wnt return though.

This is my 2nd visit to Kuishin Bo after a period of 2yrs. Placed a reservation and brought my mother and bf for buffet dinner today (advance Mother's Day celebration). My mother was particular happy with the Snow Crab and all the food as they were all pretty fresh. The jingle was catchy and everyone would anticipate the next station that would serve the "specialties". We've got half-grilled cheese lobsters, cream banana crepe, peach ice-cream, ice-cream pie etc.
My bf and I love the way their wagyu beef (pardon if spelling is wrong) and chicken is fried. Wooo! Tender and juicy. Think they could do with a bit more cooked vegetable selection :)
Total bill was $140 [forgot to ask for Senior-Citizen 10% off =( ] It was pretty worth it since it made my Mum so happy, taking a bit of everything to try but good to have once in a blue moon. On the whole, it was a pretty happy 3hr dining experience for the young and old :D

I believe everybody is familiar with the song on television that goes: "Dom Dom Kushinbo" etc etc. And this is my second visit to the place in 4 years if i'm not wrong so there's quite a few new things we can talk about. Here we go>>>
$27.80 per head (Lunch buffet) - Japanese buffets are without a doubt one of my favorite buffets to have. The one offered by Kuishinbo certainly has alot up for offer. As per my previous visit, some things have changed. The interior being one of the changes and the amount of food offerings as well. Not exactly for the better in my opinion, the seats and ambiance seem to have taken a step backwards and just feels less friendly then before. Service and clearing of plates this time seemed to have improved though. On to the food, you get a whole lot of choices to begin with. Cold dishes like sashimi, cha soba, sushi and california rolls are yours for the taking. Then there are the deep fried dishes which had ebi tempura, chicken, hotate and other fried items. There are also soups, paper steamboats and assorted other items which could be cooked on the spot for you. Desserts are piled with cakes, ice cream, fondue, puffs and biscuits. Coffee and tea are also available for the taking.
Basically, the food is decent albeit nothing really stays with you after you finish eating. The sashimi are alright though the quality is definitely questionable. I liked the california rolls they had. The tempura had way too much batter and not enough prawn. The steamboat is simply too sweet for comfort. The miso soup here is the worst i've ever had. The cooked salmon is normal, the dory is nicely sweet and tender while the beef was overcooked and rubbery. Basically, their sushis were moderately decent. The dessert was alright if you simply go for the fondue and the cakes, the puffs, cookies and brownies really need improvement. And that about sums everything up.
Total bill came up to $65.44 for a stuffed stomach and a less then satisfied pallet.
The buffet we had was lunch which meant we didn't get to have any crab. I was told that the crab served during the evenings were much better and worth a try. But as it stands, i'm probably not going to return for another try at least for the next year or so.
