This resturant has a coffee shop style outlet in Hougang Ave 7, Blk 356.
Must try their prata, nice and crispy, the curry is tasty but not overwhelming. Everyday, they serve different hawker style food such as Kway chap, Lor Mee, Prawn mee, Laksa, Longtong etc... Be there early on Friday. they serve dry mee and its delicious. The black sause and chili is one of the best. Taste best with mee pok or mee kia.
They also serve traditional Chap chai Rice, with large variety of food to choose from. They also have fried bee hoon and stuff like that.
At night, they have 'Zhi Char' where you can order all those familar dish such as sweet / sour pork, asam fish, curry fish, pig troutter in vinegar etc...
Overall, a family dinning place with good food at hawker center's price.

I'm not a fan of vegetarian cuisine, but since my mum likes it and we're supposed to celebrate her birthday, so we went to this branch yesterday.
First thing we noticed was, there were a lot of cars parking outside the small restaurant, and it's like 12 pm! So we went in and walked around until we find a just-emptied table. Their menu is not overwhelming but is enough to bring out some ooohhs and waas from us. They have all sorts of cuisines and we thought we should all try different ones. So we order claypot mee, Hong Kong fried noodles, bean-paste hor fun, fish & chips, and seafood spaghetti and a few more side dishes. They have set meal options for western, italian and japanese cuisines, so we decided to go for it.
After waiting for a very looooong time (I would like to assume that it's due to overwhelming walk-in customers), our food came. Gado-gado and tauhoo-goreng (fried dried tofu) came first. The gado-gado comes with a sauce that tastes like satay sauce (or maybe it IS satay sauce), and we ALL commented that it's nice. Not too sweet, not too salty, just nice. Same goes for the tauhoo-goreng, except that this comes with light lemon and peanut sauce. Very nice and I simply loved it! Next comes the apple-grape-honeydew-fruit salad, with thousand island dressing.
Then our main dishes are served...finally! All looked delicious and most ARE delicious. Why most? It might be because we (my sisters and myself) cannot really appreciate vegetarian food, so we simply cannot take the taste of the fish & chips. It's NOT utterly disgusting, just that we got sick of the taste after some time, and the serving is big.
Other than that, the rest of the food that we ordered are good. Their mushroom soup (included in the set meal) is nice, and a little thick though. Rojak's nice too, and tastes no different with the ones you get in coffee shops. The only thing is, you really need to be early to minimize waiting time, even if you drive, because the carpark nearby was full by the time we reach there, just that we were lucky enough to catch a just-emptied (again) car slot.
Overall, I definitely would recommend this place to my vegetarian friends. Also, our bill is only $43 for 5 main dishes (2 with sets), 4 side dishes, and 3 can drinks, and we are VERY full by the time we leave the restaurant.
