It's is the coolest chicken in town ! for about SD$ 7-8, you can get a full meal comprising of 2 pcs of chicken, 1 side, popeye's special biscuit and a drink. Upsize is also available at a small fee.
Chicken : The chicken is all-so juicy and tender ! If you peel off the crusty skin, You can see it still steaming ! Yes ! Popeye's chicken is always fresh and hot ! You can taste the juices and each bite is explosively delicious. No need for tomato or chilli sauces for this clucker :)
Sides : You have a choice of either fries, baked beans or Mashed potatoes. Upsizes allow you to have more of course. The fries are coated with spices making each piece a joy on the tongue ! The mashed potato is also spiced up to give your taste buds something to rejoice about. I've not tried the baked beans yet but since everything is going good so far, do give the poor beans a try !
Biscuit : This is one of the highlights ! Popeye's biscuit is something quite unique. It is solid on the outside HOWEVER it is soft and fluffy on the inside which gives it it's unique experience when eaten. It's good on it's own but no harm adding a little jam for greater pleasure :)
Apart from the long queues on the weekend, the staff are very polite and try to cater to all of the customers' needs. You can also visit POPEYE'S CHICKEN at T1 and the singapore flyer. This chicken joint is a MUST TRY !
Have not visited Changi Airport Terminal 3 ever since it was opened last year in 2008. So we went to see how nice and beautiful Terminal 3 is.
We walked around the terminal it is really really big it has so many shops and restaurants there as compared to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
We wanted to have something for dinner and came across Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits. We find it something new as I believe only airport has their branch.
I had this when I was in HongKong with my hubby during our honeymoon. And this time we brought our son along to the airport once again we saw this restaurant and without a moment of hesitation we went in.
The place is something like a fast food restaurant. We have to queue and place our orders. During the order, I was surprise that I need to pay extra $0.50 when I asked for all Thigh Meats for the Chicken. Unlike KFC, we can ask for the parts we fancy.
The smashed potato is very nice unlike the one we had at KFC. KFC is more salty. Popeyes's smashed potato is more cruchy and not that salty.
The chicken is less oily compared to KFC. The fries are like KFC's potato wedges. The burgers they had are something different. I had the Shrimp burger it really melts.
The service is not what I expected from an airport the crew doesn't really understand what I asked for. Overall, the food seems okay. I will give a 3 star rating. It can be improved.
