Love this bakery...the bread is simply delicious. I like the round donut looking bean bread (hmm can't recall the name). Can't get this anywhere else. Now it is more convenient for me to buy at the Vivocity branch. Oh i love the choc creme filled cone thingy too....craving for it ever since my first bite ;)

The warm & friendly japanese lady (not sure if she's the boss) never fail to make us feel at home whenever we drop by at the holland V outlet. Friendly & fast service at cashier too so we don't have to wait too long in the queue to make payment!

The world we live in, is complex and beyond our wildest imaginations. Life is a mess, there will always be new problems arising everyday. Life is never fair and you have no control over it. But hey, who says life is ever gonna be easy? Babies cry when they enter this world don’t they? But sweetie, our world is also a beautiful place to live in, close your eyes and hold your breathe for a second; you will appreciate it a lot better.

And in life, nothing beats walking into a bakery with the smell of the freshly baked bread straight from the oven!

But I knew from the moment I stepped inside the bakery that it was a mistake. I wanted to buy everything! It was astonishing to see the number of Milkpan that they baked there - rows and rows of them, and everything smelled so good! The unbelievable softness, the light fragrance, and the creamy custard fillings, oh my god, one milkpan’s really not enough.

There was two types of anpan; I was convinced/psycho to get this one. It vaguely reminded me of the red-bean buns that I often got from the neighbourhood bakery. Nosh and nosh.

The scary thing about the bread here, they’d sold out the moment they are out! We got ten of them, five custard, and five chocolate. And it definitely wasn’t enough.

We preferred the chocolate wassants though; the other one was lacking in flavour, while this one had the subtle sweet chocolate within the bread. And there’s even a new kaya version, but that’s for the next visit!

You are always welcome to visit ladyironchef for a full-up on this trip. Whatever written herein are my genuine feelings expressed in words. Food, my dear, is what they call an adventure!

Newly open! They have another outlet at West Coast Plaza, called the Petit Provence! Located outside the mall, next to main entrance, this cosy little shop has one of the most wonderful design! It also comes with an outdoor seating area.... this little shop serves selected bakeries, sandwiches, toast and a variety of coffees and teas. I must say the concept is pretty different from the one at holland, Nice!!

Oohh... wassants! I think its available thru-out the day.. the bakers doesnt seem to stop baking them, no matte what time I pop by... other than the wassants, they do also have the ever famous cheese buns, brazilian cheese buns, rasin buns, walnut rasin etc....

As much as I like the shop at Holland, this shop certainly has its own character and style.. the service crews there are friendly too!

        9.30am to 10.00pm Mon-Fri
        8.30am to 10.00pm Sat / Sun / Public Holidays

They have other outlet at West Coast Plaza, locate outside the mall, next to the main entrance. Cosy and nice decorations with outdoor casual seatings, cafe concept. Serves toast sets and sandwiches sets whole day as well.

Other than the wassants (which never sold out b'cos they just keep baking, unlike holland's), they do also have the ever famous cheese buns, brazilian cheese buns, mozaiku (mixture of custurd and chocolate bread with cookie toppings *yummy*) and many other "Petit" bakeries!

I simply LOVE the bread at Provence! Never once a huge fan of bread, I fell for them when I tasted how Provence can make such a simple fare taste so simple (duh -.-), yet so yummy!

Nothing fanciful, most of the Provence breads are of the typical "natural" flavours, such as chocolate, butter, jams etc, without the flowery toppings that a lot of other bakeries now like to use. I also felt that by displaying the extra information of whether each product contains egg etc, it shows how thoughtful they are towards their vegetarian and diet-conscious customers.

Certainly a bakery I will never just visit once and not go back again! (It'd be my loss if I do!!)

The most popular item here at this place? It definitely has to be the wassant. Look at the previous posts and you'll know, it's really that good.

The price has increased to $6 for a pack of 10. Even so, it is only about 60 cents a piece. It comes in 2 flavours, namely chocolate and custard. You can purchase a combination, custard or chocolate flavoured packet. It is shaped like a snail's shell, looking very adorable with nice patterns on the surface. The bread is filled with layers of custard or chocolate filling in between each layer.

There is also this other item I always buy, which is the chocolate or custard creme/cream. It is shaped like a cone of an ice cream, centered with chocolate or custard fillings. My favourite would be the chocolate one, most of the time sold out whenever I make a visit.

They offer other interesting range of bread such as milk bread, curry donut, sausage bread, danish delights, chocolate twist and many more. Not the usual kind you see in typical bakeries. You can take away or dine-in, upon your preference. This place sells hot and cold coffees for enhancing your bread tasting experience.

Do come by early if you do not want to be disappointed. The more popular choices usually sell out quite fast so it proves the quality of their bread. The price is somewhat around the range of Breadtalk, but I would rather buy here. It's definitely a must try when you visit Holland Village. If you can't find the place, just try searching opposite the Katong Laksa shop.
