For the price, there are enough variety to compensate. The japanese section boast of at least three to four types sashimi and quite a good variety of sushi. For the bar b q section, satay, beef, chicken, lamb, there are all present. Choices for drinks are good, fizzed drinks, hot and cold and enough ice, and always replenished.
Choice of hot food may not be replenised very quickly but there are enough of other food to compensate.
Desserts of ice cream, fruits, pudding gives a satisfying topping to a good meal.
In all, it is good value for $$ and a good choice for any celebrations!

What that made an impact first was the price. At a mere $20 , with no service charge, you can have a decent meal here.More than decent, I must say.

After a rather tiring walk around the science centre, it was a relief to sit down under the cool air-condition and tuck in! We have previously eaten at the Dwontown east branch and founf the lunch to be quite nice and value-for-money.

This couldnt be equally said for dinner. At an additional $4,it was still considered cheap since it was located in a tourist attraction, however, i expected something more, like some highlights to the menu.

Instead, the only difference I noticed was satay sticks which are not tender and juicy at all, rather stiff and dry, like it came from the freezer and was heated. There was no presence of any grilled unagi eel, which I always look forward when dining at Sakura. It was quite sad, judging the lack of food that lined the buffet table.

One thing I must commend though that add some bonus points to a somewhat plain experience. The dessert selection is fabulous! The was even durian puff, not those durian-flavoured custard type, but with a generous mix of durian pulp. The puff was light and delightful and it is not filling at all, so I polished off a handfull.

The steaks and lamb chop is also rather nice, though a tad dry.

Sakura is being located in ommi centre, beside the science centre in jurong. A pretty strange place to locate a restaurant if you asked me. Ommi centre does not have rather much visitors, but when i reached sakura, it is quite crowded despite the place being a little hard to reach.

The buffet lunch is $20 nett, which i believe is rather cheap for a buffet lunch, and $26 nett for buffet dinner. There are sushi, desserts, fried-stuff, salads, fruits, free flow of drinks. In addition, there is a place serving chicken chops, lamp chops, beef, prawn, fish, all cook on the spot, u'll have to put a clip(which has yr table no on it) at the food that u wan. After which, the chef will cook on the spot, and the waiters will serve it to your table.

Although the food cannot be describe as heavenly, but i believe at 20 bucks per person, it is considered value for money, after all there are buffets that cost much and taste less
