5 Reviews for “Spagetti Too (IMM)” - Restaurants
This is an open-concept eatery at #01 of IMM Building with bright colours counter and attractively Promotion Poster with set meal at cheap price (Dinner set S$8.50 for a main course and a drink).
Didn't eat at this place the first two times when I saw this, as it was during the peak dinner hour 7pm /-, and the place is extremely crowded and the tables are very close to each other due to the limited seating area.
Finally got to try this on a Sunday 8.30pm, less crowded with more empty seats and cleaned up table.
My verdict:
* Grilled Sirloin Steak set (with mash potato, some vegetable, and a drink) (S$8.50) --> the photo on the promotion poster looks nice and reasonable portion, but when the real thing is served, its just a small piece of Steak. Steak is medium well-done to my expectation, but didn't feel special for the meat portion used (just like normal meat use in food court beside this eatery). Mash potato is not well-blend, eaten lumps of potato within it.
* Grilled Chicken Chop with Spaghetti & some vegetable (S$7.20) --> spices & extra ingredients are added to the Spaghetti which makes its appetizing (but another similar concept eatery at Plaza Singapura #B1 done this better). Chicken chop is edible but commonly ordinary.
In general, its normal Western food for this price. The portion is quite small for my standard. Ended up eating supper (dessert & finger food) on #03 hong kong cafe at 9.30pm.

Sitting down, the place looks quite clean and well-organized. Menu is clear and well designed. The system of ordering food is similar to Pasta Mania, you have to go to the counter to order the food.
While we were looking at the menu, the waitress came over on her own initiative and explain to us that there are some items of the menu that were not available. Polite, friendly, fast and have initiative. Thats good service attitude! ;D So we were not very concern about items being not available.
We chose our food and Dar went to order. Negative point was, no Nets payment available, we had to pay by cash. Thats alright since we do have cash on hand however, signs should be put up at the tables regarding this as some people don't like to bring a lot of cash with them.
While waiting, we were distracted by the chinese restaurant besides Spaghetti Too as the chef there was making something using dough and he was preparing the dough, making a lot of noises in the process.
Dar's Beef Pie came first with the drinks. Too much butter used on the outer crust, hence the taste was overpowering. The pie was more suitable for people who likes strong taste. For me, the beef was way way too salty....
Next came the Garlic Bread with Cheese and this will be what I highly recommend to people. Bread crust being baked to absolute crispiness while the center portion was soft. Cheese added to the chewiness at just the right amount. Not too cheesy or salty. Best eaten hot however, as the texture changes when left cold.
Next came the main courses, Dar and I ordered the Sirloin Steak promotion meal at S$7.90 including a drink. After the delicious garlic bread, we had high expectation of the upcoming meals. However, we were quite disappointed. Although the beef was cooked at medium well done and very tender to eat, the taste of the beef was covered with the sauce. Sauce was too much and too salty. Vegetables were average though a bit overcooked while the mashed potato was not smooth enough. On the whole, the dish can be said to be a bit above average. I will give around 7/10 as taste can be quite subjective depending on the person eating.
Grilled Salmon hot plate Spaghetti. Dish was below average with the salmon being not fresh enough and Spaghetti overcooked. As Claire put it : "I can only taste tomatoes in it with one clump of spaghetti..."
Ordered some desserts as well. Brownie, ordered by Dar, was too sweet and had to be eaten together with the ice-cream to taste nice. Portion was real big comparative to its price of S$2.50.
Claire ordered the Apple Cobbler . Like the brownie, it tasted good when eaten together with the ice-cream, otherwise, its just a sweet dessert. Perhaps thats why they were served with the ice-cream placed on top? It would be better if the Apple Cobbler was packed more tightly as it was practically crumbling apart while we ate it.
Best dessert of the day and highly recommended by me will be the Italian Chocolate cake. Warmed and served with ice-cream by the side, the texture was thick and I expected it to be too sweet. However, as I put it into my mouth, the cake was chewy, full of "chocoty" flavor and not too sweet. Tasted great with or without ice-cream.
Altogether, we ordered 2 Sirloin Steak promo meals, 1 Salmon Spaghetti Promo meal, 2 portions Garlic bread, 1 Beef pie, 2 extra drinks and 3 desserts and we spent $39.80! No doubt the main courses were not that great but they were above average. Side dishes, desserts as well as the service quality were of satisfactory level. Hence conclusion, Value for Money!

The only think I remember now is the smelly table. :(
It was quite a bad experience when I was there for dinner. When we walked into the sitting/dining area behind the serving/ordering counter, the place was quite messed up with tables and chairs misaligned and many tables uncleared. We sat ourselves at the "cleaniest" table we can find and looked at the menu. The food was quite cheap and there were quite a lot of variety. Then we spotted a piece of A6 paper with scribbling of some promo set available. $7.90 for main course with drink. (Can't remember if there's soup thou.)
We ordered the Grilled Sirloin Steak and Seafood Aglio Oli both at promotional price of $7.90. Added Fried Calamari for starter.
While waiting for the order, a lady came to clean our tables and after she wiped the table, there was a strong stinge of smell left behind by the cloth she used! It was as thou the cloth has been left unwashed for few days! Smell worst then toilet can? What disgusted me more was that the same pair of hands that handled the smelly table cloth was serving the food and folding paper napkins loh! I had to apply medicated oil on my nose to cover the smell. And when our food was served, all my appetite was gone. Good thing the food was still presentable the least.
When my steak came, I then realised that we didn't get to choose the done-ness of it. It was cooked, almost to complete well done. So it was too tough to chew. Didn't really enjoy it. Boyfriend's pasta was a tad better. At least the seafood was presentable and of a good size. There was more of a black pepper taste instead of how aglio olio pasta should taste like.
Our starter was then served after the main courses. (Hmm...) We should have expected what was served since it was only $2.50 for the Fried Calamari. It was pathetic and the calamari was overcooked. Again too tough to chew.
Guess I was just unlucky to get this kind of experience at Spagetti Too since the 2 ladies before me enjoyed themselves at the same location. Chef was different perhaps. And the lady serving was different too?
Food: 3 out of 5
Service: 2 out of 5
Cleanliness: 1.5 out of 5
Value for money: 3 out of 5

First and foremost, I dont think the category is Italian as the food is not true Italian food but I cant find 'Western' under the category.
In any case, I first stumbled and had a meal here with my partner, Cartcart in December 2007
Spagetti Too is a relatively new cafe in IMM. The front counter was so colourful that it seemed as if it was beckoning us to come closer. The cafe had a halal certification.
Behind the counter was an enclosed area that diners could sit in, the decor was clean and simple.
We made our orders by taking the paper menu which is provided by the side of the table and mark a tick to the items that we wanted. And then we hand it to the front counter and then make our payments.
I was surprised to see that the food was affordable. We spent less than $25 for full set meals for the both of us.
I decided to order Chicken Chop, while Cartcart had Vegetarian Pasta. We had the Garlic Bread with Cheese ($1.70) as an appetizer.
Cart said that the bread was nicely cooked and perfectly crunchy. But I thought that it was a little bland.
We did not have to wait long for our food to arrive. By the time we are done with our appetizers, in about 10 - 15 mins, the helpful crew handed over our main meals.
I love my Chicken Chop with Mashed Potatoes ($6.50) alot. The meat is tender and juicy and was just a delight to savour. The sauce tasted more like black pepper sauce than mushroom sauce, but it was still really good. And the mashed potatoes were so smooth, so savory, so creamy. Yum!
Cartcart’s Vegetarian Pasta ($5.90) was more of a fusion dish than true Italian pasta, it was still cooked well enough with the pasta not being overcooked - something that he is very iffy about.
For dessert Cart had the Chocolate Brownie while I had the Apple Cobbler ($2.50 each) which we both loved.
It was both inviting and both had a huge dollop of ice cream on top of it. My only mini issue is that I dont like my apple cobbler to be heated up.
I think it was nicer to eat at room temperature or cold, unlike brownies that taste good heated up. But its not such a big deal, being such a value for money :)
If you are anywhere in Jurong, give this place a try. Good food, cheap prices. And for that, I'm giving this the good rating!
They dont have a website yet, but click on the link below to see the menu :-)

It's a small cafe, tucked between all the other eating places on the ground floor. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. the food came in a relatively generous proportion. They were generous with the pasta sauce, which is a hard thing to get at other places. The dessert was not only cheap, but good two.
A dinner for 2, including drinks and dessert, only cost us $20.
