Spotlight sells a lot of fabric for craft uses and also home uses like for curtains, cushion covers etc. The also sell alot of other household appliances and craft materials. I can spend a few hours there simply just exploring the shop without buying anything.
However, if you're really looking for something to buy, i must tell you that the place is quite disorganised and messy and it mishg tbe rather hard to find what you need. And most of the time, the staff there are too busy to be bothered with you, much less say take the initative to offer help.
Prices are the things there are definitely not low. So if you're looking for some cheaper craft materials, art friend would be a better choice.

Spotlight - only outlet remaining in SIngapore is the one in Plaza Singapura. The place is hugeeeee selling crafts and household items under one roof.

You can get textiles, crockery, ribbons, craft books, etc.. It's a place that all craft enthusiasts should go to. Everytime I am there, I never fail to spend like an hour going through the treasures.

As an entrepreneur running a little kids boutique and gifts, I would buy my stuff like ribbons and other embellishments from there. The place can get messy so one must slowly and patiently go through the items.

Staffs are not very helpful although I did come across one or two that will help me with my needs. Other than that, they are either busydoing their stuff or talking to each other.

But since the place carries a variety of stuff and is probably the only place in Singapore, I will continue to patronise this haven.

This place is huge, occupying practically the whole 4th level of Plaza Singapura. It holds a extensive collection of art & crafts materials, household equipments, curtain & blinds, home decorations and bedroom items.

There are so much in this place. I am overwhelmed by the store layout. Everytime I go inside, I completely lose my sense of direction. The layout is messy to me, which I will never bother to memorise where the items are placed. This place is also, very messy as what other reviews has mentioned. You have to find high and hard in order to find the things you need. The staffs there are not very helpful either, their product knowledge is barely of great assistant. The items here are more expensive than the usual stores. I would rather go to Ikea for their price and the designs.

If you insist on purchasing here, do get their VIP card which is FOC. Whenever they have some member's item on sale, it's much cheaper. I bought a chair pad at 1/2 price, which is comparable to the usual pricing out there. You get the idea how's the pricing like.

Spotlight is huge! They sell loads of things, from art and craft needs to curtains and houseware. Whenever I'm supposed to wait for somebody to come to PS and I know that somebody will take quite a long time to arrive, I always go to Spotlight just to browse around.

        Remember. Just browsing around.

Yes the place is always in a mess. I once needed to find some jewelry findings (for once I was not just browsing around) and I found that those jewelry findings are stored in different shelves. How annoying. I gotta walk back and forth just to find the ones I want. Worse still, some of the stuff are cracked or damaged. Staff is not helpful either. Well in fact I couldn't find any. Most of them are just sitting on the floor arranging stuff in the shelves.

And I think some items are simply overpriced. I wanted to buy some cross stitch patterns but my eyes popped out when I saw the price. No need to ask whether I finally bought it or not.

Repeating the stuff Bobo said in her review... Come to Spotlight IF you have the patience and time to find what you need.

have to agree with the above that the place is always in a big mess. i was there with my friends trying to look for stuff for decoration and most of the things turn up at the most unexpected places. the staffs there aren't really helping, since they themselves don't even know where exactly are the items we asked for.
in the end we had to look for the items ourselves, in the midst of the mess. the items are either mixed up with another or slightly damaged, especially in the crafts section.
the only good thing i feel about the place is that they really stock up a large variety of things, and it is a good place to be if you love knitting as they have many brands and colours for yarn, and also the necessary tools.

but they should really try tidying up the place.

Spotlight used to have 3-4 stores around Singapore but now they are left with one outlet at Plaza Sing. They sell a large variety of craft items and fabric so you can practically find anything there.... IF you have the patience.

I hate how the things are always in a mess. The shelves are hardly ever tidy even when you go when they open shop. The items are not packaged properly so it makes it easy for people to tear them out. They don't put out samples for people to see, forcing people to buy blindly or to rip their packaging...

They have very few staff around this huge store so don't expect help in locating things. not to mention, everytime you go back they would have shifted the things around. Few things remain in the same corner for long.

Also the prices of some of the items are more expensive... so choose wisely.

I wouldn't go there if I had a choice... Sometimes only Spotlight stocks up stuff from American brands...
