Al fresco kopitiam-style restaurant/coffeeshop located at the quiet end of Chinatown (next to exit H) which serves very nice and affordable Chinese dishes. Staff are very friendly and down to earth, prices are very reasonable. Call ahead to reserve a table or check on the weather. Beware, street parking is limited as the nearby carparks have been closed.

Our favourite place for cheap home-cooked meals, Swis Ling never fails to please us. Aside from the problem of looking for car-parking (although it is accessible by NEL and EWL), this coffeeshop is open to weather as well.
You must try the famous Cream Pork Ribs (奶油排骨) which are simply delicious. There is also a selection of seafood dishes and home-cooked soups, all at affordable prices. A four-course meal for four persons costs about $50 which is great!
Plenty of tables available in the outdoor seating area, ranging from tables of four to ten. Call ahead if you need a large table. Smoking area is also available.
