Fancy a long weekday lunch with abit of fun... This is the place to go. With lunch served at a good price and a huge drink to go along with it, you get to have an hour or two hours of boardgame fun.

They have all sorts of boardgames there, even those I couldn't buy from takashimaya, they have it. Its really great to have so many choices of games to choose from without having to own any of them. Boardgames are like antiques. You get to show them off, have some fun with them at rare occasions when some friends gathers however antiques have a resale price and board games just grow older, dusty and tattered and torn with usage.

Playing boardgames are fun, in a very different way as computer games or sports. You don't need gym clothes or special sport equipment, you don't get to blame on the slow internet connection speed or PC speed or even a miscommunication. Board games make you come together have some real fun with real people watching each others facial expressions and reactions with each move and smelling their sweat and anxieties.

Though food was just the standard kind; fish and chips, chicken cutlet, some local fare and finger food, yet thats not the main thing.... Its a place for friends and family members to gather around, have some human fun while munching on junk without lossing a tooth or breaking a leg.

Its the place for some real fun.... If you haven't tried it.. you must find some time for it. If you already been there, then you must go there again with your friends. No friends? ask me lor..... Real Fun for REAL PEOPLE....

Have your illegal gathering and not get caught!

It's much like settlers' cafe where you get a place to play games together. The food is just ok though. But you go there to have a good time in your friends' company. The fun is from all the interesting games which means anything other than Monopoly, Risk, Cluedo, Scrabble, Mad Magazine, etc. And boring friends equates boring time there. Best to go in groups large enough to be hauled up for illegal gathering (which means 5 or more). We had 14.

The service there is still as good as the last time i went at night. This time, i went in the afternoon. Initially, we reserved for 12pm slot. But a few of our friends came late that we only reach the place at 2pm. We were quite embarressed about it. But good thing, the staff did not show any sort of unhappiness in them.

Still a great place to be for gathering.

The Mind Cafe - A one stop fun place for gatherings and spending quality time with your friends!

Stepping into The Mind Cafe, you'll find that though the place feels small, it has a homey feeling making you feel comfortable and relaxed. There are sofa seats on the left side, often reserved for big groups of customers at night, while 2 rows of tables and chairs are on the right side.

The 'crazy' thing about The Mind Cafe is it's range of games available, as well as the staff's knowledge on ALL the games there.

The staff there are all very friendly on my visits there, and would offer to recommend you the stacks of games, depending on your mood or preference. We could even tell them things like, "erm..a game where we wouldn't need to use too much brain cells" and tadah! They'll introduce something that is fun and yet..well..brainless (?) Lol.

Many games were uncommon games that I've never seen before, totally unlike Monopoly or Scrabbles. And the truth is, you can actually get crazy with your friends just by playing board games there. Haha..sounds nuts isn't it? Well..board games definitely brought a different meaning to me after that. ;)

Most importantly, it allowed me and my friends to have a great~ time there. :) Be it close friends or friends that you haven't seen in a long time, The Mind Cafe would definitely bring you guys closer after the games and food there. :)

Oh, mentioning about the food. In my impression, the food served there is actually quite reasonably priced and the quality of the food is not bad. But one thing that I'll ALWAYS get when I go there, is the brownie with ice-cream! *mm~* Their brownie is always so good..chocolatey and warm~ Topped with the cold vanila ice-cream? Yumyum. :P

Actually, The Mind Cafe doesn't have to be a place where you can hang out at, only with a group of people. Even if it's just 2-4 friends, you can drop by The Mind Cafe for games and fun as well. :)

Just do note that this branch at Princep (at Dhoby Ghaut, opposite Paradiz Centre) has quite limited space, especially during the night. So..it's either that you call to reserve a place, or that you can choose to drop by in the afternoon where it's less crowded and more suitable for a quiet afternoon spent with your friend(s). :)

Try to drop by at boat quay. It is a 3 level shop house. More spacious than Princep Road.
