Nestled in Jalan Besar, our café’s called Windowsill in the woods. It’s a cosy space that’s cheerful and kid friendly. To go with your pie, there’s brilliant coffee from Liberty – great local coffee roasters, and exclusive blends of tea from Gryphon who have the most whimsical tea blends we’ve tasted. We’ve also got an exciting menu of savoury food that changes every fortnight.

Location: Tucked away in a quiet corner of Lavender/Jalan Besar is this quaint little cafe that sells the most delectable pies. It's getting quite well known as the weeks go by, so it can be quite crowded on all evenings.
Parking: Limited street parking in front of the cafe, but you can park at the Jalan Besar Stadium/Swimming Pool MSCP opposite the cafe.
Service: Staffed by upbeat, friendly young people who are very passionate about what they sell. Very willing to go through the entire pie range with you, just to select something that you will like. Good follow-up service too!
Food: They do serve a limited savoury menu which we did not try, mainly because we think of this place as an after-dinner coffee place. Limited seating, so people who linger over dinner will occupy tables for a longer time. The selection of pies is good enough for us.
Menu: Refer to their website for selection of sweet pies or drop by and the friendly staff will tell you more.
Pricing: Reasonably priced, $12-15 per person for a slice of pie (which can be shared) and coffee/tea.
Verdict: Great place to unwind after a long day!
