I had a staycation recently at Amara Sanctuary Resort (Sentosa). The price was reasonable. About $280 plus per night for a deluxe room.

The room is quite big with separate bath tub, and standing rain shower. Their toiletries are good too - the SPA type. The hotels will provide kacang and signature drinks to welcome you at the lobby. At certain hours, they will have ice cream too.

The roof top pool is quite small. There is no baby pool, so I have to bring my baby to the jacuzzi pool. There was no pool towel or service staff at the pool area.

The breakfast at their all day dinner restaurant - Shutters, was good. A lot of variety to choose from - Tim Sum, porridge, local delights (prata, nasi lemak), western dishes (waffle, wide bread and cheese selections).

What I do not like is that they only have 2 service lifts and they have to do their lifts maintenance at the same time on a Saturday night. So, we have to walk up the stairs to our room. Luckily it's on the 3rd floor and not the 4th.

This La Mian Restaurant is owned by Gao Ji Food Chain.

I ordered from their Lunch Special - $5.90 for selected noodles with upgrade of 1 appetizer and drinks at $3.90 :

La Mian with Crispy Fried Chicken Chop and Dumplings with Hot and Sour Sauce, plus a Plum Juice.

The noodles are Q and just right, not too hard or soft. But the Crispy Fried Chicken Chop is a failure. It's too oily and thin. It's like eating the batter only. The Dumplings with Hot and Sour Sauce are good though. The dumplings are full and the meat are juicy. The sauce is just right. Not too spicy. As for the Plum juice... just the normal plum juice, nothing special.

My first time trying Keisuke's ramen. I was attracted by the 4 seasons' theme soup base.

To my surprise, they give free hard boiled eggs and seasoned bean sprouts! My hubby loves eggs, so he whack almost the whole bowl of eggs. While for me, I am a bean sprouts lover, so I had like half of the bottle of the seasoned bean sprouts (very well seasoned).

I had the Autumn ramen while my hubby had the Summer ramen. Mine - the soup base is Shoyu Tonkotsu. Very oily. Luckily, I had the bean sprouts to balance the taste. I also grind in the sesame to add the nutty taste.

My hubby's ramen was Spicy Shoyu Tonkotsu. Really spicy!

For the free eggs and bean sprouts, I will be back to try other seasons. :)

I am a chicken-tarian, which means I eat mostly chicken! So, how can I not try Poulét?

My friend and I shared a couple of dishes:
        1) Half Roast Chicken - it's so tender that the meat just melts away. The Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce goes well perfectly with the meat.

        2) French Onion Soup - though I am not a beef person, and I know the soup base normally has beef in it, I have to try it. It's flavourful, or I should say, overpower. I find it too salty. I had to add a lot of pepper to blend out the saltiness.

        3) Chicken Salad - It's almost a mouthful of chunky chicken breast with fresh lettuce and cherry tomatoes. It's dressing is just right. Not too creamy. The crunchy vegetable goes well with the chunk. :)

The pricing is reasonable and affordable.

             Holy Grill   Grilled Chicken
Old Airport Road Hawker Centre has a lot of good food. Normally people will go for the wanton mee and the Lao Ban Dou Hua. For me, I go for HOLY GRILL.

It's something like Astons, but cheaper than Astons, and tastier too. The grilled chicken is juicy and the sides are fantastic too. I had the pasta salad which the pasta tastes just right, not too soft or too hard; and the baked potato is with real crispy bacon!

I am a non-beef person, so did not get to taste their steaks. So, who ever did taste it, please post your reviews here! :)
