Scallop Mee Sua   Mushroom Cheese Crepe
I like to eat the taiwanese O-ah Mee Sua. I like the hot and sourish taste. Yesh, lots of pepper and black vinegar please. I visited the Shilin Taiwan Street Snacks' branch at The Cathay, thought that since it's a BRANCH, the quality should be the same. But I was wrong.

They were out of oyster (due to shortage of supply according to what they said), so they replace it with scallop. I decided to give it a try. It is a total failure. The chicken strips are not fresh, and I dun call it strips, I called it rubbings! Heng, the mushroom cheese crepe that I ordered is still edible and still the same old good taste.

         Bento   Golden brown drumlets karage
A couple of months ago, we went for a movie at THE CATHAY, decided to have a quick dinner before the show. Where did we go? To their basement lor.

We order a mix grilled bento and golden brown drumlets karage from that QUICKBITE Stall. Not too bad. The pork asparagus roll is chewy. The drumlets are not to oily, but … not much flavour.

Newly renovated   Clear environment   Story on the Ceiling   Omu Noodles   Omu Rice with Chicken
Been to the newly renovated Food Court in Junction 8 a couple of months ago. The deco is refreshing, and it has writings on the history of the particular food sold there on their ceiling pillars.

We tried the OMU RICE. It’s tasty. If I am not wrong, there is an OMU RICE stall at the Taka Food Court too.

I do like their stir fried noodles. :D Though they cooked with Ketchup, it still has the balance of the natural flavour of the food. But it’s slightly salty and their soup is too bland.

Other stalls are the old vendors which are there before.

Manhattan Fish Market   Grilled Norwegian King Salmon Fillet   White Baits with Mayo & Coleslaw   3 kinds of Dippers - Sour Cream, Chilli, and Garlic.   Fettuccine with Fish & Squid
I walked past Manhattan Fish Market a lot of times. It’s always long queue. My frenz who tried it before said its very nice. I dun really like Fish & chips, but my Dear Dear loves it.

So by chance, there was no queue at Plaza Singapura’s branch, we went in to have lunch.

          Appetizers:
Mushroom soup - not too bad. Can still bite the blended mushrooms bits.

White Baits with Mayo & Coleslaw
          - GOOD. Crispy. I love the coleslaw below.

3 kinds of Dippers - Sour Cream, Chilli, and Garlic.

          Main Dish:
Grilled Norwegian King Salmon Fillet - My Dear Dear skip his fave and ordered this. I m not a fan of Salmon, but my Dear Dear is. I like the fries. It’s fresh as in they fried in clean oil. & I think crispy not soggy fries.

Fettuccine with Fish & Squid - I like fettuccine and LOVE Squid, but not a fan of panfried fish, so I gave the fish to my Dear dear. I like the cream sauce. Thick and flavourful. The ingredients are fresh. :D

Price wise is the standard resturants range. So….. I will love to go there but I need to feel rich then I will go. :p

               Cafe Latte   Blueberries Cheese Cake
Was shopping at Marina Square and feeling tired, then saw this poster - $2 hot beverages until 9pm. Gloria Jeans. Hmm… it’s just what I need - sit down and sip a cuppa coffee. :D

It’s super crowded. Maybe it’s because of the $2 hot beverages. Alot of pple just sit down there and with a cup of hot beverage on the table. So, I had to go walk another round and come back to try my luck. Yeah, really that Lady Luck was with me. :D

I ordered a cuppa Cafe Latte, while my Dear dear had his usual - English Breakfast and my favourite Blueberries Cheese cake. It’s good. Very thick and smooth. Not too cheesy or sour. But I still like Coffee bean’s. :p

Hmm… another note is that I saw a woman eating secret receipe’s cake and drinking Gloria Jean’s beverage. Horrible right? If I am the baker, I will feel insulted! :x
