I went to Aston Prime with a few of my friends yesterday.
This outlet looks very classy and it seems to be expensive as I have never been to Aston Prime before. But surprisingly, their prices are acceptable even though it is more expensive than Aston's express due to its different kind of menu.

If you are a steak lover, you should try the steak here. My friend ordered medium rare which tastes very good.
We also tried their beer battered fish. It is actually fried fish and I don't taste any beer. Not sure if it is related to its name given. The serving is big. Even though it is fried, the juicy of the fish can be tasted. There is a thick meat in between those fried.

Their side dish is pretty the same as the one in Aston Express though.

    The service is good too.
Their staffs talked to us and because of the funny names they give on the menu, their staff also explained to us patiently.

    It's a good experience :)

Their service is the worst kind of service I ever had. The following incident makes me fury just by speaking of it.

Some time back, I called them up to check how much they are charging for grooming for my dog as different breeds cost differently.

They told me that it will be charged at $40 but I have to bring my dog down. I even made an appointment in advance.

On that day, I brought my dog down. After grooming, they told me that it costs $45 but I only brought $40 down as I intends to go home straight after that and I drive. So I told them that I called and they told me it was $40 only.

That guy told me something ridiculous.
He said that the breed of my dog has got different size depends on the country it came from and that different size for the same breed charges differently.
In the first place, he should have tell me this over the phone.

In the end, I told him that I did not bring enough cash so I gave him $40.
He replied something even more ridiculous. He said," Anyway, your dog is very old. Your dog's leg is weak and it is hard for us to groom. We dislike grooming your dog."

Yes, my poor baby is going 20 years old (dog's years). She needs more attention. A dog groomer should not posses such attitudes, I believe. I thought groomers serve all ages/breeds of dogs? So does it means that old dogs do not need grooming?

It is written that they are professional groomer.
Is this what you called service?

After this incident, I no longer bring my dog down instead I got hold of another groomer who is willing to groom old dogs and is happy to do so.
I told my current groomer this incident. He told me that my dog is small for her breed!

    Not value for money, seriously.

The standing shower is so small that I can't have a comfortable bathe. It looks beautiful and big in the pictures but in the actual, it has got a small jacuzzi (One person size) and with a small stairway up to the jacuzzi from your room. Although, it is supposed to be a private jacuzzi but I could hear very clearly what my neighbors from the other room is talking about when we are at the jacuzzi. It is separated by a thin wall from room to room.
The bed is not comfy as well. The pillow is soft that it hurts my neck after sleeping for a night.

When I booked the room, it was on promotion. It was SGD420 which I supposed it is expensive for the facilities.

This Cotton on locates at Causeway Point is quite small compared to the rest of Cotton On stores in Singapore.

Their stocks are neat but I supposed limited designs even though they provides both gender's clothings. They do have the basics like the shorts, the promotion items as well as those guy's polo t-shirt.
From what I see, there is only one sales girl on duty at around 5pm which means she has to pack, served and be the cashier as well.
Not sure what will happen when the crowd is there.

I just ordered PastaMania as my dinner. The delivery came from the outlet at Sun Plaza.

I love the service provided by them. Their delivery is comparable to Macdonald's. To add bonus to it, they provide tissues as well as chilli flakes and cheese without asking from them.

They even have a order status when you ordered your meals online. Now, they have got promotions going on. Eg: Pizza, Pasta and 2 cans of coke at only $19.90. Super cheap. Their delivery charge is only $2.50.

    Should try.
Their delivery time is around 60 minutes but I think it only took them 45 minutes or so to reach me. The sad thing is their delivery only provides till 10.15pm.

    Love this ice cream!

I had chocolate ice cream and my gal pal had sorbet.
One of my friend introduced me to this cafe which didn't took me long to locate the location.

The ice cream is a little pricey but comparing to Haagen Daz, the price is still acceptable.
There are even board games provided for customers to play. I have seen groups of people crowding around the table to play those board games. Despite the limited seats, their business is still very good.

Should try this if you love ice creams. They even provide alcoholic ice creams of cause at a different price.

This particular laksa shop has got the best laksa in town (so far from what I have tasted)
If you love spicy food, this is the place. They have generous serving as well!

Personally, I don't really fancy Katong Laksa because it is not spicy enough.

Although this shop has not got nice decoration or nice ambience but the food is really nice.
It is always crowded with people during weekends!
Please take note that they are two laksa shop in that small little coffeeshop.
The one I'm talking about is directly facing a hair salon.

    Wahlabee Wahlabee says:

I am a Bodyshop lover. I frequent this shop regularly to purchase their shower foams, their cosmetics and their skincare.

I went to many Bodyshop outlets around Singapore and I think the worst service quality is in the Yishun outlet.

I wanted to get their concealer after reading reviews on the websites. But I'm not sure which one is better as they have got 2 kinds of concealer.

So I went in the shop, walked around for a while and approached this sales girl to ask her about the differences. She replied me," Both of them are the same. I use this." and she walked away without waiting for my response.
The shop was not crowded at that time and her colleagues were chatting.

It seems like she only served potential customers who will definitely buy something and because I was shopping about the shop for quite a while that makes me seems that I won't be buying anything.

I love the service provided by this particular outlet. It's a new outlet which opened last month or so.
When I got in the shop, the sales girls greeted me with smiles that I felt really nice.

Even though, I do not intended to get anything when I first walked into the shop but still, I got some masks from there because of the service they provided.

Their masks are really good. Love it.
Let them know your face condition (oily, dry or combination) they will tell you which masks is suitable for you.

When I left the shop, they also say their goodbyes.

The stuffs I bought was merely $10 yet the service they gave me left me a very deep impression!

After hearing SOOOOoOoo much about Tao's for such a long time, I finally had the chance to step into Tao's! I was so excited.

Parking wasn't too much of a problem at Selegie Centre... however 3 hours cost us $10 . If it weren't raining so heavily when we arrived I reckon we would have parked elsewhere. The parking area was a little hard to find but easy (for the driver) to work her way about.

Because it was a weekday and it was just after lunch @ 2pm, the place was empty!! *happiness* We did make reservations though. I was told by my friend that reservations are a must if you wanted a weekend lunch/dinner.

They charge $19.80 (or was it $19.90) for a 6 course set lunch. I shan't dwell on the system they have here since everyone's talked about it.

We just went about picking whatever we liked from the menu.

I shall only comment on those I did taste. :)

    Food ordered:
Bacon & Mushroom Gratin, served with Toasted Bread
This is an item we didn’t have a choice with in the menu. I’m not really a fan of gratin so I was a little hesitant. I didn’t quite take to the smell of the cheese they used for the gratin but it was generally alright for non-cheese lovers. A definite stay away if you dislike cheese though. The bread was heavenly. I LOVEEDDD it. I wished I could have more (it’s free flow) but I was afraid I couldn’t finish the rest of my meal. The bread was well toasted and can be eaten alone without the gratin at all.

    Smoked Salmon Salad
My choice. My companions had the Fruit Salad and the Prawn Roll though. Nothing fantastic about my salad though I had some trouble finishing it as I found the salmon a little too salty after a few bites. The serving was just right though.

    Cream of Pumpkin
I absolutely loved this soup. I was the only one not having the Shark fin one, which my companions raved about. But I loved the thickness of this pumpkin soup and the slight sweetness which made me finish it really quickly.

    Grilled Snapper with Japanese Sauce
This is my main complaint I think. I definitely regretted this choice. The snapper was unevenly grilled and charred on one end but fine on the other. There was so much sauce poured over it and it certainly didn’t help that it was too salty. In reality, the snapper was quite tasty on its own, after much cleaning away of the sauce. I liked the pumpkin mash served with the snapper though. I would definitely go for the flounder next time.

    Ice Rose Apple Tea
I like how the smell of the rose blended together with the taste of the apple in this one. And they even provided a fork for you to eat the apple. They serve their teas in this nice little pot with a tiny cup, so we had fun tasting each other’s tea.

    Ice Summer Peach Tea
I LOVE THIS TEA! I like the aftertaste of the peach!

    Brownie served with ice cream
Or should I say, ice-cream served with brownie? I finished it in 2 bites. Either my mouth’s big or… to give credit, the brownie is quite moist and not too dry. The nuts below should be cut up a little more so that it can be evenly distributed with each bite.

The total bill came up to $115 for 5 of us which is quite reasonable I guess. Topped with great service and smiles even though we were overstayers, it was a good experience after all.

I’m looking forward to going there again!
