i didn't know that a flea market like this exists in singapore until one of my friends brought me there a couple of years ago.
the variation of the things u can find there is really fascinating.
they have all kinds of old shoes, vintage bags, records, cassette tapes, cameras, antique watches and many many more things you seldom see anywhere else in singapore.
there is also a stretch that sells cellphones, and all the mobile gadgets etc.
just recently my friends bought me a birthday gift from the flea market, an old school yashica camera, the kind which still uses film and you have to wind it before you take a snap. the best thing about it is that the camera is still in good condition and it works perfectly fine! my friend also bought two prince tennis rackets (in very good condition) for 7 bucks each.

there is alot of good stuffs there worth buying but it really takes one to have a lot of patience to look through the tremendous amount of things.
but trust me you'll really find the place worth checking out(=

i used to hang out at kallang leisure park long ago before its revamp, only because of the ice skating rink. the place is usually dead and lifeless, except during national day and if there is a concert at indoor stadium.
i expected the place to really liven up after the renovations, since it's already quite an old building.
the new mall was very nicely done and compared to the past, it was really impressive. there were many new cafes, restaurants, and more choices for fast food. there are also new shops that sells sporting equipment, dvds, video games, clothes and etc.
they still have the skating rink and arcade, and it's definitely much bigger and better than before.
in addition, there is also a new cinema. though the name of the cinema doesn't ring a bell to me but the interior of the theater and the seats are quite comfortable.
but anyway, the crowd there is still quite pathetic like before but i guess it will get alot better after the new mrt station next to the building is launch. it will definitely make the place more accessible!

queensway shopping center has really undergo a drastic change throughtout the years. i remember many years back i used to go there for sporting equipments and really cheap jeans.
now there are more shops targeting the younger crowd and you can find a lot of good stuffs there. the pricing for the clothes and accessories are very reasonable, and it gets even better if you know how to bargain!
though it gets a little squeezy on weekends, but it is really worth going there and check out the place.

judging from the exterior, the building looks tempting enough for me to enter it. but i have to say i was really disappointed after i enter because i got a little fed up with the escalators. it made the place really confusing to get around.
initially i thought the place might become really popular as it is really accessible for its location beside clarke quay mrt station. but after i walked throughout the whole building nothing can actually impressed me at all.
and also, the place is really quiet on a weekday(which is actually a good thing for shoppers), but i noticed that most shops are closed. my friend who used to work there mentioned that because the crowd was too pathetic and that's why most shops move out after opening for a month.
however, the place do have a couple of good restaurants and shops worth looking out for.
maybe i'm just always there on a wrong day that's why i didn't find the place an attraction(=

it's really good to see such a huge shopping mall with so many fancy clothing brands and good dining restaurants opening in singapore. but when i was there for the first time when it first opened i was really confused in finding a particular shop that i want to go to and the directories aren't really helping much.
And also, I tend to avoid going to vivo during weekends because of the big crowd. It was hard to squeeze through the human traffic, especially if you're on the second level of the mall.

but still, it is a place worth checking out as you will really be spoilt for choices, be it clothes, accessories, electronic gadgets or food and etc.

Have to totally agree with you on the 2nd level walkway. Its most headache when one has to rush from one end to the next to catch a show at GV. Can be quite a mad dash.
