Being the only theme park in Singapore currently, there is not really much choice.
If you are searching for those mind-blowing action on amazing roller coasters, forget it. The family coaster is totally cannot be counted as a roller coaster at all, rather a family scenic train ride.
The park is geared for a family outing instead. The kite flyer is rather unique, but not really exciting. However, its kind of nice to have strong winds blowing in your face, if there is any consolation.
The pirate ship is definately nicer than the ones found at pasar malams, and I could feel my stomach churning in the process.
The skin is the key to its popularity. Unlike 小笼包s at other establishments, the skin does not break easily and thus, retains the precious soup inside well.
The meat inside is average but tasty enough. Paired with the hot soup is a delight.
The soup inside is a little too salty but the overall effect makes the dish a very nice end to a meal. Even after consuming 8 of them, its just at the edge of filling.
Ice cream is always a hit with both young and old.
However, the posh sounding Venezia serves not the usual creamy, high in milk and fats ice-creamj that is usually found in supermarkets.
The lemon sorbet ice cream, for example, had a strong lemony tang to it and bursting with citrus flavour. No, there are no artificial yellow colour to cloak the ice cream but a pure white.
Its simply melt in the mouth and dissolves blissfully in the mouth. Simply delicious!
I've tried the scallop chee cheong fun and found it unique and value-for-money.
Scallops are quite plentiful( 4 to 5 pieces) and are smooth and juicy. It tasted even better than some restaurants serving fresh scallops.
The prawn chee cheong fun is also priced the same, but it is available almost everywhere so the taste was average, I guess. However, the prawns were succulent and juicy.
The mango prawn wrap is served warm and the salty and sweet contrast is really delicious.
It was a totally different grocery shopping experience.
The first thing that greeted me was the tanks of fresh, live seafood.
Then the awe-aspiring range of fried foodstuff such as onion rings, calamari rings, golden stuffed nuggets, etc, with some an amazing discounted price that I have not seen from ages.
The small packs of twisties soon caught my attention. Priced at 5 for $1, the flavours can be chosen, which is great if you love to mix n match.
The Muar otah( last priced at $2.90) is delicious when steamed and contains real chunks of fish that is even visible through the transparent box.
