There is now a new version of the beloved currypuff- a non spicy but equally addictive one.
Having sweted quite a bit due to the spicy version as my chilli tolerance is pathetically low, I was all for the chicken mushroon version. The filling is enclosed in the familar puff pastry and is packed with chunks of button mushrooms and chicken bits like the original. Great for kids and people who prefer it mild but love the pastry!
The introductory price is currently set at $1.20, same as the original.
I always drop by not for their bread, but for the waffles.
They have a faint buttery taste and are always soft and fluffy. It's served piping hot from the waffle pan and the edges are crisp. The smell of freshly baked waffles always tickle my stomach and at a price of $1.20 for a plain one, its average and not too expensive for a daily treat.
Minimelts, as the name states, is not your typical ice cream at all.
Colourful, little balls of ice cream fills a rather small cup and costs $2 at this outlet. Mix and match is allowed up to a certain extent and if you would like to try almost all the flavours, a good pick is the rainbow flvour, where individually flavours little balls of ice cream are mixed together and served in the cup.
I enjoyed eating the mango and mint version. However, the bubblegum version is too artificial for my liking.
The green tea and dark chocolate ice cream left much to be desired.
Fans of green tea would like the green tea ice cream. The smooth blend of creamy green tea flovoured ice cream was refreshing and hinted strongly of heavenly green tea.
The dark chocolate ice cream is bittersweet and tasted just like the original, with the exception of it being gloriously melt in the mouth and cold. Nicer than others of the same flavour from other ice cream shops in town.
The items on the buffet menu is mind-boggling, with even steamed ziaolongbao and fried REAL scallop in the menu.
At only $16.80 and presented with such an array of food, its no wonder we gorged ourselves silly.
However, the waiting time to get your individual food dishes is slightly long so we ended up ordering more at one go instead of picking a bit at a time.
The buffet timing is great at 3pm-6pm from mon-fri.
