I've been to the esplanade concert hall for quite a number of musical concert. I like classy place. It place layout is very clean and gives a very comfortable feeling. Seats are comfortable as well.
The good thing is there are also quite a number of restuarants and food place around, so after watching a concert, you can pop by one of the restuarants for a meal.
This is one of the better GV cinema where the rows of seats are not too close and crammed together. The cinema is very well-maintained and still looks very new. Seat are very comfortable as well and the handrest in between the seats can be lifted up so if you're there with a friend, you can lift it up and it'll be even more spacious.

The place looks very classy and high-end, different for the outlook of the normal swensens branches. I was expecting good service and friendly staff when i was there a few weeks ago with my friend.
However, i was very disappointed with the bad service. We waited for quite a while to be seated for the staff in there practically ignore us until we walked further into the place and ask them to get us a table. There wasn't a lot of people there that day. In fact, only 6 tables was occupied.
After we decided on our orders, again, we had to wait a long time before they came to take our order.
Usually at swesens, the staff would serve the ice water without us having to ask them for it. But we waited for a long time for the ice water and when none came, we asked had to ask them for it.
There were also some china staff there who grasp of English wasnt good as well.
All in all, their service was really bad and i wouldn't want to return there again.
Crystal Jade's Xiao Long Bao has got to be my favourite dish there. I love how sweet and tasty the soup inside in and the skin is not too thick.
Other dishes like their la mian are not bad as well.
If you're visiting this branch, expect to wait for half hour or so to be seated on weekends evening. The queue is always very long. Service is slow and orders take quite a while to serve.
For Singaporeans, many will like the taste of the crispy chicken from shilin. But it's really unhealthy and oily. Sometimes, after eating half a pack of it, i will be quite sick of it because of the oily taste.
What is like most from shilin is the oyster mee sua. Put more vinegar, it taste great!=)
