Went to this particular cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes during the past weekend.

This cinema is relatively new as compared to the older branches. Built around the same time as The Cathay if i'm not wrong.

The seats are nice and the sound reproduction is good. There are also couple seats in the last few rows of almost all the threatre if i'm not wrong. The cinemas are also quite clean and there aren't any weird smell around.

On weekends though, the queue is quite long due to the heartlanders staying around. It is in the middle of the heartlands btw. I went around 10 am in the morning and surprisingly, there was no queue at all. When I finished my show around 1 plus, the queue was quite long, at least 10 people per counter queuing.

Service was alright, nothing much to talk about.

Ate at this branch a few months ago. As compared to all other branches, this is similar, in terms of menu and general deco.

For the uninitiated, the dishes served at pepper lunch are primarily hotplates containing meat, rice/ beansprouts and some other items. What you do is just stir fry (thats what i do) the items within, adding any condiments you like.

That time i went, i think i ate salmon and chicken. Food wise, they are of alright quality. No comments on the cooking quality as i'm the chef myself. haha.

Price wise, it is around 10 - 20 dollars, quite ex for a fast food restaurant i would say. But i am not sure if they are a fastfood restaurant.

This particular branch at hougang mall is normally quite empty and you can get a seat quite easily. That is even during peak hours.

Service was quite fast. You will need to carry your own drinks to your table with a standup card to wait for your main dishes.

Drawback may be the smell on your clothing as the food tend to produce quite a lot of smoke.

Went to this branch a few days ago to buy a few essentials. Their main competitor is Guardian in the basement.

In comparison, i prefer Watson when i go to Hougang Mall due to the following reasons.

Firstly, in terms of size, Waston is far bigger than the Guardian branch. This translates into a wider variety. I also felt that the lighting of Watson is brighter than Guardian.

Service wise, I would say that the staff at both branches are quite friendly. The Guardian have roving salespeople though.

Price wise, both are more or less the same although sometimes, there will be promotion. I went to this Watson a few days ago and there was a 20% discount promo for some items. Bought a guy's nivea facial wash and got the 20% off. Not a bad offer i would say.

Only drawback is this is on the third floor and a bit of an inconvenience.

One of my fav hangout in Hougang mall.

It is similar to other community libraries. Lots of books, magazines, etc. There is also a corner for reading of newspapers which is normally quite packed.

Lots of heartlanders in the library but the queue for borrowing of books is suprisingly short, max 3mins to wait for the machine.

The variety of fiction books is quite extensive. Can normally find the books i want. Magazines wise, it is a bit dated. In terms of computer magazines which i read, there are 6 to 9 months outdated.

Noise level wise, it is relatively quiet. This is also one of the few places in the mall to grab a seat and rest.

Another of the ajisen chain. This one is situated at the second flr with views of the atrium.

Food wise, I tried the volcano ramen, one of their signature dishes. Quite like the taste. Although it is spicy, it is not overly spicy. Just alright level of spicness for me. Their ramen is quite normal, not a big deal. Soup base wise, I would rate it as quite good. Quite tasty in my opinion.

Price wise, it would be a bit higher than normal ramen restaurant i would say. Though there is discount for some credit/debit cards if i don;t remember wrongly.

As you can have a view of the atrium, it is quite a good place to people watch and relax there. Normally, the place is not totally packed. So no much problem in getting a table.

Service wise was alright. Nothing to complain about.
