This is one of my friends' favorite shopping place. I'll usually accompany them there when I've the time. Was there recently to shop for clothes for the new year.
Even though I had been there a few times, but I always still get lost in the maze like arrangement of the shops. Every corner I turn looks the same to me. Lucky I was with my friends. This I swear I'll never go on my own.
There are many shops selling sports wear, fashionable male and female clothings and this is one mall you must go if you're looking for sports shoes. Due to the mixture of shops, Queensway Shopping Centre attracts many teens and young working adults to go shop for clothes and stuff.
Another Donut store some says. But I bet to differ.
They had quite a large selection of donuts and all looks very nice. I bought a box of 6 and had a hard time deciding which to pick. Can't remember all the flavors I'd picked, but I remember theres one with mango and one with milo.
The donut wasn't too oily and its not too soft. Fried to just the right texture. The mango flavored one was very fragrant. And my favorite out of the 4 I tried, was the milo.
There wasn't any queue when I was there. Maybe due to the kind of hidden location. I'll go back for more and hopefully try more of their other flavors one day.
Happened to be at SIM with my friends today. We went to MegaBites food court for lunch. This food court runs like Marche. Every customers were given a card at the entrance and you'll get a stamp when you order the food. After that you'll use the card at the cashier before exit to pay.
Saw their western food store being featured in the Yummy show on Channel U so I gave it a try. There was quite a lot of people waiting for their orders, and also many waiting to order. So I thought this must be good.
I ordered the bbq chicken chop and my friend ordered the grilled fish. Although we waiting long for our order, but when we had the food, it wasn't even warm! The fries were soggy and the chicken and fish were pretty tasteless.
It was quite a disappointing lunch. Maybe the pasta was better since it won the Yummy reviewers' heart. But looking at it, it doesn't seem that nice either.
This is not to review about the donuts, its more of a feedback for the management. (I hope someone working there will read this.)
Compasspoint is one of my regular hangout with my classmates. But recently we noticed that the entire mall is filled with the smell of donuts. (Even in the elevator!) At first we found it alright, but after staying in the mall for an hour, the smell is just too much!
We felt that Missy Donuts should do something about their kitchen to filter out the smell so that it'll not fill the entire mall. If they think that this will help increase their sales, then maybe they should relook at it. Its air pollution!
Because of the smell, we try to avoid Compasspoint from then on.
Was around Marina Square last weekend and I got a flyer from some guy while shopping at Marina. Since I was around the place, I decided to pop-by.
First look at the room, it looked quite small. The place was packed with visitors. I managed to get in somehow with my friends. We shocked ourselves as we spent almost an hour in there! There were so many things to see and shop! I had to pull my friends away from some of the stalls so that we could move on to see more.
One thing we like about this was the way they allowed us to shop and pay later. We were issed receipts for purchase and allowed to pay with Nets and collect our stash after we're done with the shopping. Good and bad thou... cos we tend to overlook at the amount of things we bought! Damage for the day was pretty alright, considering the things we bought - dresses, a bag, some accessories and couple of christmas gifts! Thanks to this event, I'm half way through my christmas shopping!
Looking forward to future events! Maybe one with even more vendors would be great!

IMO, NTU has got better food.
