Carls Junior has been my all time favourite fastfood restaurant whenever I am feeling very hungry. Reasons being it has large servings, tasty criss-cut fries and free-flow of drinks of your choice.
Moreover, you could mix and match the drinks to your liking and the staffs there are generally very friendly and approachable. Serving time was generally reasonable but if you happen to meet the lunch/dinner crowd, be expected to wait a tad longer.
Whats more, if you are a SAFRA card holder, you are entitled to a 10% discount on your total bill.
So do consider Carls Junior whenever you pass by it.
Nothing beats the portobello mushroom burger especially with lots and lots of mushrooms inside! The taste beats the mushroom swiss at burger king 100 percent, and definitely worth the money. In terms of burger size, I do wish I could get a smaller one - especially when you get the meal, it can be a little too much. This is probably the sizing for guys?! All I know is that one full meal - burger, fries, and drinks - could feed two girls well!
I love how there is free flow of drinks and being able to make my own lemon tea! Since I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks, I'm glad I am able to suit the tea to my taste!
And if the place gets too crowded, order a takeaway and have your meal on the rooftop :)
My first entry on Carl's Junior. Yes I know it's very common but please bear with me as I seldom eat Carl's Junior, with the last time probably being around mid 2005 when I first learned of their existence.
I had their Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger, which was quite a size, relative to other fast food outlets in Singapore. The beef patties were a little juicy and moist but I couldn't quite taste the natural beef flavours as it was masked by the strong greenish looking sauce. The bun tasted ordinary and overall it was a decent eat and extremely satisfying.
Funny how the chilli fries weren't spicy and tasted of curry instead. Not impressive, but I'm a sucker for fries, especially for ones which have gound beef and cheese in it.
I believe that most people don't trust my words when I say Carl's Jr. serves burgers about the size of my face!

This is the smaller version of the burger darling ordered that time. (this one no cheese and don't know what else.) & it's already the size of his hand.
His hand size is about the size of my face.

Apparently "he" heard from "so-and-so" that Carl's Jr. isn't too bad. So, knowing that there's a Carl's Jr. outlet at VivoCity, "he" was rather keen to give it a try, and naturally, we did.
It works a little like Mos Burger. You take a tag and you wait for your order to be delivered to you.
Seriously, for a "fast food" kinda outlet, the food isn't all that "fast". Let's put it this way - I could have my steak well-done at Jack's Place or something, before my burger was even "served".
Now the question is, "Is it worth the wait?"
Carl's Jr. Meal
Price: S$xx.xx
Dish Rating: 6 / 10
Note: It's quite a bit for just the two of us...
The quality speaks for itself I guess, but considering the cost... Let's just say, I'm not impressed. Especially if you add the 'waiting time' to the odds.
Remark: The presentation of the "dish" is quite bad, but the taste somewhat helped to bring up the score.
Although like Mos Burger the focus should be on the burgers, but well... What can I say, the "Beef Chili Cheese Fries" kinda scored the extra points.
The patties, though juicy, weren't as thick as I had expected, and tasted too much like the plain fare offered by other (ostensibly cheaper) fast food outlets.
So no, I was not pleased.
I won't write off the outlet as a waste of money - suffice to say, I will make return trips until I've sampled everything on the menu.

I love Carls Jr.
Everytime hubby and I pass-by Carls Jr (vivocity branch) and smell the onion rings. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking of eating their onion rings.
They served the best onion rings I've had thus far and I also love their crisscut fries!
They have really big burgers and onion rings.
