Was walking around Jurong Point Shopping Centre after my dinner today. Just when i walked pass the Crystal Jade Kitchen, i saw that they actually have set up a cakery and bakery section at the corner of the enterance.

The concept of a bakery shop right inside the restaurant is pretty new to me. I actually pondered for quite some time if i should really take a step in, as i am afraid that i will have to eat some stuffs in the restuarant first before i am allow to buy their breads.

Well, guess i should not worry too much. The waitress standing at the door did not stopped me from entering the bakery shop (although she hoped that i will go to the restuarant instead) after all.

Ok, this is a typical hong kong style of bakery. Why do i say that? That is because you can find most of the hong kong items there -- 2 of the most popular items will be the egg tarts and bo luo bun.

I do not really enjoy eating their egg tarts as i feel that the eggie crust is abit of too thick (i like thinner crust) and its not flaky enough. Besides the crust, its inner egg filling do not have a strong fragent eggie smell.

They have two different kinds of bo luo bun, one with fillings and one is plain. Personally, i loved the one with fillings more. Crispy yellow colour crust filling with nice char siew fillings (barbeque pork) is a great combination. I also like their poportion of char siew in the bun, its just right that i can even savour char siew till the last bite of the bun.

I would also like to recommend another bread from them. This bread may looks ordinary from the appearance but the fillings inside the bread is really nice. Its called the hong kong cocktail bun. No, the bread do not contains any cocktail, rather it contains a mixture of coconut and butter. You will be able to taste the strips of coconut when you eat the bread. A definite must try item.

They also sells chicken wings over there, as one kind of finger food i guess. A very popular food among the customer as 3 out of 5 will be sure to order that. These chicken wings are not those golden brown kinds but rather a hinch of uniform red colour is seen in them. Well, since i have already taken my meal, i decided to give them a miss.

A pretty decent bakery shop for you to try out something special, something of an extraordinary flavour.
