My family likes this place. We usually go to Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden for a picnic then head to the Jurong East Swimming Complex. It's a cheap way to bond with the whole family as well as friends.
The slides are great. I always find myself scared each time I try the slides but then, I always go back.
I also like the lazy river although sometimes the water is a little dirty. It just gets too crowded during weekends. The toilets aren't really nice but generally clean.
I also train at the gym upstairs which has a nice view of the pools while running the thread mill.

Definitely a great place for water activities. More than the usual swimming pools which can be boring with just lap pools and wading pools, this complex includes three slides, a lazy river and wave pool.
Slides - there are three, and you will need to rent a tube to use the two taller slides. Very thrilling as you cannot control your speed of descent and may wind up spinning upside down in the tube!
Lazy River - perfect for a lazy time floating around the complex. Best to use the tube cos the floor is quite uneven at certain parts. Look out for the mist and shower areas as you float round and round.
Wave Pool - waves are generated at regular intervals which is really fun and feels like swimming in the sea. What makes this wave pool different from others are the two water jets that rain on swimmers as they are bobbing around.
I brought my parents (70s) and even they had a great time in the Lazy River and Wave Pool. It's very affordable ($1.50) compared to other water-based theme parks around. Parking is convenient and when the hunger pangs hit, the KFC outlet is conveniently located in the same building!

The best swimming complex in Singapore!
The snake slide is visible even when you are outside the swimming complex. The slide is towering. I havent really dared to try the tallest slide yet, only the lowest one. That is enough to make me shiver.
Water gushes down the slide and forces you to go on with it. Once you make up your mind to slide down the dark tunnel there is no looking back. The water and the smooth curve of the slide propels you downwards until a sudden circle of light appears in front of you and...you are dunked butt first into the water.
The wave pool is also another highlight. Waves come at regular intervals and you can rent tubes to float in when the waves come. Alternatively, you can do without the tubes and brave the waves! Definately fun and always filled with laughter.
