Miss Clarity Cafe..”where happy people meet”.
Stepping into the cafe, what meets your eyes are colourful walls and characters (in the day) and still colours, yet with a tinge of ambience with candles on every tables at night.
With it’s bubbly characters and happy themed interior decor, Miss Clarity Cafe definitely lives up to the image that it aims to portray. =)
There is quite a wide range of courses to choose from it’s perky and colourful menu. Range of dishes are deliciously ranged from Bacon Aglio Olio to Slipper Lobster pasta. Furthermore, its pricings are reasonable. Together with good service attitutes, what more can u ask for?
It’s definitely a cosy place for a get together with your girl-friends, a place for couples to dine at night with the nice ambience, or just a relaxing dinner with your group of buddies.
Just a note: the queues do get a little long during the night. Be prepared to wait if u want to get in this fun and colourful world of Miss Clarity Cafe! =)

Went to eat at Miss Clarity Cafe again yesterday, and..really, it’s getting increasingly difficult to get a place there for dinner.
When we reached the cafe at 6pm yesterday, the whole place looked empty. Yet, we were told by the waiter that those tables were booked! That’s like.. 3/4 of the cafe booked! Wow. People have resorted to reserving seats now, instead of queuing up outside the cafe. Hmm.
However, he added that we could have a table if we were able to leave by 7pm. So yup, we agreed and had a quick dinner there.
My friend and I shared one of their main courses, “Old Macdonalds Had A Farm”, which included lamb chop, chicken chop, steak, pork chop, bacon slice, ham, sausage and potato wedges. Well..I do agree that the whole farm seemed to have been included in the dish. Yet..the meat served were not up to standard.
The steak was a little too raw for me, and the rest of the meat were really tough, except for the chicken chop. And frankly speaking, though the waitress claimed that the dish would feed two people, I think she missed out the fact that it wouldn’t feed two HUNGRY people.
Thank goodness I wasn’t very hungry then. Or else..
Anyway, my other two friends had their main courses: “Fish Cordon Bleu” and “Garlic Crusted Dory”, and according to them, it was not bad. Ah..I still preferred the “Chicken Cordon Bleu” that I had the previous time. Hmm.
Anyhow, I still think that it’s a cosy and nice place for a get-together at Miss Clarity Cafe. The staff were friendly and polite too. Just that..for now, you’ll probably have to get smart, be quick and make reservations early or something, if you want to get a place there for dinner.
If not...either you’ll be left standing/queuing outside, or left with the choice of re-selecting your dining place for the night.
So remember: Get smart, plan and be quick!

I never heard about this Miss Clarity Cafe before. Its at Purvis Street. A friend recommended and we went there to have dinner *** supper after an outing.
They serve western and some local favourites. We were lucky to get a table at that late hour coz the cafe was actually quite pack.
My friends ordered Potato Munchskin & Chix Salad. As for me & My Dear, we ordered set dinner. My Dear who dun like Vegetables, surprised me by finishing the salad!
My main dish was Stew Chix with pasta. Actually that’s not my first choice, coz all priority choices were sold out. Frankly speaking, this dish is so-so. Very home-cooked feel. Which means, my mum can cook too. Very suitable for those who missed home-cooked food. The chicken seems to be cooked with out defrosting it. Tough & dry.
My Dear’s main dish was this fried chix bake rice. Eh… also so-so only.
I wanna mentioned My Frienc’s main dish - Lobster linguine. Why? Coz they use the wrong pasta. Linguine was too soft for this dish. Too much of it will make pple feel ’sick’. If its spaghetti (swop with my pasta) then it might be better.
Haaa… mostly seems to be bad comments about the food. :p But for the price, its reasonable, juz that I am a bit picky. :p
I like the soup, salad and ICE CREAM…. Haaa… not their main dish. Maybe becoz all these are not their ‘direct’ product. :p

Miss Clarity Cafe is a cafe which is nice
designed and have a good ambience.
The owner(i never asked her of her name) i think is a good
person to approach for business. She somehow shares a mind with teenagers(aspecially ladys to
patronise the cafe.
Her design of the cafe is superb. This little cafe too provides
home delivery.
Their food is indeed superb.I went to try the Creamy Soft Shell Crab Linguine($11.80) and the Regular Chocolate Fondue with my group of friends($10.80) and indeed it was
really worth the price.
I heard that now they are going to add Ben & Jerry’s Ice-cream to their menu and provide a menu to catering and functions.
This cafe is a really must try and when you are feeling down, stepping into the cafe will brighten up your days!

Was there yesterday with group of people from Ping.sg. The place was erm... brightly and cutely decorated. But I was told by some of the people there that the night ambience is better, with the lights dimmer and the crowd is usually busy at night.
I spent quite a long time looking at the menu while waiting for more people to join the group. The menu was bright and colorful. Some of the colors were kind of mismatched. And it hurts my eyes reading it. (I wonder how its like reading it in dimmer lights at night...) They do have quite a wide variety of food at very reasonable price.
I ordered the Chicken Balotine for $8.80. Added $3 for the set which comes with either a salad/soup, a drink and a dessert. Or you can op to add $6 for the dessert to be upgraded to a B&J’s ice-cream, which I thought was quite ex.
After few pieces of the chicken and mushroom in my main dish, I decided to add chilli to it. Yeah, it tasted better with chilli. I thought I was just picky about it, but after awhile, I saw quite a few of the people around me reaching out for chilli too! And confirmation with them was, yeah, the food could be better. (Maybe the chief wasn’t in such a good mood and it affected the quality of food. Hmm...)

My friend Jon, swears by the food.
*bleah* that dude goes there every week tt they actually know him by name! I just name drop his name now whenever i go there!
M-C-C to be is a nice place fer cheap food with the cafe-feel and BIG portions.
I much prefer another place along East Coast Road where the food’s cheap and good!
M-C-C’s food is alright. Ambience is better than coffee shop lah. Service varies from time to time, but generally helpful and friendly. Love the menu...good variety. Call to reserve esp on weekend evenings

I went there for a gathering... One of my girlfriend recomented this place... Knowing the place will be full and there were 10 of us , we made a reservation 1 week ago....
The decor is nice... very pink and I like...
But for food wise... Most of us, find it so-so only... Nothing fanastic...
And the place is superb crowded therefore superb nosiy... definately not a place for gathering... And the waiting for the food arrive was abt 30 mins?
We finished our food quickly and change to a near by cafe where it is quieter...

Wat the??? That was my first reaction 3 years ago when my friend brought me into Miss Clarity.... Pink and so sissy... But what the heck, I was hungry than, I had no choice... But boy am I glad I made that choice!
First dish I had, Chicken Cordon Blu... Fantastic! First time trying that dish and it was like love at first bite! Haha... Mind the sappiness.. I can still savour that moment.. Haha... Than there are other dishes which will wet your taste buds! Too many to mention but I say the my first love the Chicken Cordon Blu is still the best.
Unfortunately, its been years since I last been there and to my disappointment, Its standard has dipped. Maybe its because of the crowd and having to sit outside on some stools and rocky table... But at least the standard of the food still remains if not dipped a little.
In all, the food is a rocking 8! But the ambience and service, I gotta give it an emo 3.... All said and done, my tummy still makes my decision. What about yours? Haha....

When I first heard of, or rather saw Miss Clarity Cafe, it was on TV and I thought to myself wow.. a pink eating place!
I told myself, one day I’ll visit there. But as usual, that one day didn’t happen, until the nice people at ping.sg decide to have a mini-gathering there.
Purvis Street was new and pretty hard to find, the taxi uncle didn’t know where it was, so I told him to drop me off at Bugis junction. It’s actually pretty near the National Library, and being PINK and all, it really stood out.
The meet up was in the afternoon, and since the members of ping.sg had already booked some tables, I didn’t have to wait like what other reviewers said.
The deco is unique but too much bright colours makes me feel a little nausea. So maybe they should tone down a tiny bit.
The menu looks super packed and colourful. Even thought I was hungry, I just sat there, looking at the menu over and over, not knowing what should I order. Wanted to have lunch but when I saw the dry fried chicken on Daphne’s plate. I don’t think I wanna try it. I don’t really fancy dry chicken. End up having a glass of lime juice instead ($1.00).
I like how they have this simple drawing on the wall directing people to the toilet.
However, the inside of the toilet wasn’t really well decorated and they only have 1 cubical.
It’s written on their name card that there is free wireless broadband, so it’s a plus point if I have a laptop and need Internet.
Unless there are friends who want to gather/have lunch there, if not I don’t think I’ll visit there on my own.

Miss Clarity Cafe at Purvis Street is unlike your normal restaurant, in fact it looks more like a children restaurant. The decorations and even the menu are so kiddy, but the food is not that at all. Good food at reasonable price sums it all. The diners are Mister Ang, Mister ong and me. Earlier in the afternoon i had tried to make a reservation but they say that all are booked, and walk-ins are left. Because they keep half of the place for reservation and half for walk-in. Anyway, when we reach it was close to full house, but we did manage to get our seats immediately.
All of us choose a main and add on $3 for an additional salad/soup, drink (barley/lime), and a dessert of the day. The starter salad was quite good it starts our meal up, but the salad dressing was a tad too little
Chicken Cordon Bleu ($8.80) - deep fried breaded chicken breast stuffed with ham & cheese, served with tartar sauce and potato/vege as side dish. The cordon bleu was not as good as the one i had at the french stall few weeks ago, i think the main reason is because the french stall use chicken drumstick while this one is chicken breast. Nevertheless, it is quite good, just that i had a better one at french stall before 3.5 out of 5
Chicken Bollorine ($8.80) - oven baked chicken thigh stuffed with fresh mushroom, drenched with mushroom sauce. Thigh was done quite nicely, the comment was the mushroom stuffed inside the chicken was too much! Mister ong gets a bit sick of eating so many mushroom. lol! 3.5 out of 5
Black Pepper Crispy Chicken ($7.50) - breaded chicken thigh cooked till golden brown & drenched with clarity’s special black pepper sauce. The chicken was quite crispy, but because it is drenched with the pepper sauce, after a while the crispy skin becomes soaky. Guess it will be better if they can put the sauce by the side, or you just have to finish it fast. 3.5 out of 5
Desserts of the day - crepes with cream, but seems to be more like popiah with cream ( :
Total bills add up to $34.10 for 3 person, no GST charged, no service charge. All the dishes get 3.5 and none above 4 because i feel that there is nothing spectacular. But i will definitely go back again if i am in the area. Why? For a simple meal at affordable prices, you can’t eat very good food everyday u know? Sometimes just keep it simple. At clarity, they do it simple and good.

After hearing so much about this café, finally have a chance to step into this café to have a meal, this is like after 2 tries. I nearly gave up! Anyway which café do not open on a Sunday. Sigh….
Well we make a reservation since it can get quite packed at dinner time. I reached there around 10 mins before our reservation time and found to place to be pretty empty. The I stood like an idiot for a good 10 mins before someone saw me and came stomping to me in a black face (or her face is by default black which means no smile). Trust me, that is the last thing I wanna to see after a day of work, is to see a black face. So what happen to the motto of “where happy people meet”? Hmm.....
The first impression of the place is very dark. Seems like they switch off all the light and trying to use the tea candles lights instead. Romantic? Eerie? To me, both. Haa….. Another reason being the table that I was seated was directly below the air con, freaking cold! I was having goose bump throughout the whole dinner. Pls dun seat at Table 7. Have to say that the place is nicely decorated though.
Took some time to decide what to eat but then they got this set meal thing which is actually quite a good deal. Add $3 for a salad/soup drink ice cream. You can even upgrade starters, drinks and desserts as well. Great!
In the end we decided on the following:
Potato Munch Skins: It is potato skins topped with bacon bits baked with mozarella cheese, served with mayonnaise. Have to say this came as a disappointment as my partner had recommended this, expectation too high I think, but I have tasted better ones at other places. At $7 for 6 pcs, can consider cheap alr. If it has more bacon bits and the potato skin more crispy, it would be much better.
Soup: This soup of the day which I think is cream of mushroom. This is good. It came hot, cream and full of mushroom chunks. Good enough. It will be better if it could come with a bun or some bread. Hee….
Garlic Crusted Dory: It is dory covered with chef’s special garlic herb butter & bread crumbs, baked till golden brown. Well the presentation was good and the portion was big. The side dish of mixed vegetables was good. The fish is covered with garlic bread cumbs. Brings a unqie taste to the fish. Refreshing. The fish is fresh as well, even after deep fried, it still remains soft and not dry. Cost @ $8.80.
Roasted Chicken Leg: It is whole roasted chicken leg with mouth-watering mushroom & potato fricassee. This dish came to me as a normal dish. Nothing to be wow of, less of the potato fricassee, which is smooth and creamy. Have to say the portion of the leg is big as well. Cost @ $9.80. I think the dish is not worth this price. I can get better tasting chicken leg at half the price.
Warm Bread & Butter Pudding: I loved bread and butter pudding. This one came to us hot and with vanilla cream, it was great. I loved the taste of it, milky and creamy. The bread is still firm as well, soaking in all the flavour.
All in all, the meal cost $32.60 for 2 person and there is no service charge as well.
Overall the dining experience was not too good due to freezing temperature. Have to eat our food fast if not risk it turning cold. Even though, we ordered drinks, it will be good that they could have served us ice water as well. Their service is disappointing as being a small café, I expect their service to be warm and friendly. All I got was very business like service only. I dun think I will go back on my own. Food is one thing but service is another and they go hand in hand. They are always other places with warmer services and better food.

Themed as the café “where happy people meets” – Miss Clarity Café certainly lives up to it, with its loud and colourful interior décor, along with the tinge of ambience with candles on every table.
There is a wide range of food selection to choose from – Shelled Appetisers, Sides, Pasta, Risotto, Mains, Burger, Pizza, and more recently, Black Angus Prime Sirloin & Ribeye, as well as the prized Wagyu Beef. My group of friends order a few dishes to share and we had the NZ Mussels immersed in Tomato Gravy as appetiser.
The mussels were big and juicy but regrettably the gravy was thin and lacked in flavour. The Glutton’s Platter was just an assortment of Spicy Wings, Chicken Nuggets, Onion Rings, Crispy Wedges and Chipolatas – straightforward deep-fried finger food.
For my main, I had the chef-recommended Whole Roasted Chicken Leg, served with mouth-watering Mushroom & Potato Fricassee. I had to say for $9.80, this is the best Roasted Chicken Leg that I have even tried. The flavour was captured nicely in its meat and despite not being a big fan of potato – I was won over by the aromatic starch.

My friend brought me to this cafe for lunch one day and I was very pleased after the meal! Totally worth going back again.
I ordered the set lunch with garlic crusted dory filet as my main dish. The set comes with a generous bowl of salad and dessert. I liked that they served the mains with roasted potatoes instead of fries - good for health conscious people.
For dessert, we were served with a really tiny piece of bread and butter pudding. We were quite taken aback by the serving but once we put a mouthful into our mouths, we forgave them. We were surprised to find it warm; a great way to end off our meal.
Our set meal was less than S$10 each with no service charge or GST.

I have walked past this place many times before but never stepped in to try it out until a birthday meal was held there. I didn’t have the intention to try it out because of the decor. It doesn’t attract me, very pink and girly.
After eating there, I felt that the food there is overpriced. Why? When you step in there the next time round, try looking around the surrounding. You will realise that most of the items and equipments they used are very cheap. The cup is those plastic ones bought from Ikea, the water is poured using a Toyogo tumbler, the decor doesn’t really need much money to design, the tables and chairs can be bought cheaply from wholesalers.
I don’t under why people are willing to head there. The food is overpriced and the place is especially noisy. I can’t hold a proper conversation as I couldn’t make out what my friends were saying. The crowd is overwhelming.
My order was the Black Pepper Crispy Chicken. Being a avid black pepper lover, this was always going to be disappointing. The black pepper sauce didn’t have grains of black pepper in it, literally. It was just purely a sauce, with only a slight tinge of pepper taste in it. It made the chicken real soggy and the crispiness was lost. This has to be one of my bad experience with black pepper food. Simply unacceptable to be termed a black pepper dish. Other orders such as the wedges and the glutton’s platter are relatively alright, but price is quite steep as compared to other similar restaurants.
The only good I’m going to comment is the service level. Although there are only 2 service staff on the floor, the service level were of adequate level. I am pleased that they are able to adhere to most of our request promptly. Other than that, I am still not satisfied with the pricing of their menu. It’s simply not justified.
