20 Reviews for “Miss Clarity Cafe (Purvis Street)” - Restaurants
i was @ miss clarity's on a saturday evening with 2 of my friends. My 1st impression of the place was just PINK, but sadly not in a sweet or cute way. The table and chairs look like that of a canteen and the place just reminds me of a cheapskate looking pink canteen..
It took the servers quite a while to serve us a round of water & it only came after we placed our orders. 1 of my friends had the ham pasta & i had the chicken cordon bleu. I did not manage to taste the pasta.. but the chicken cordon bleu was one of the worst i had so far. There is only a small miserable piece of ham inside the chicken which tasted bland, not much marination done i would say. The sides had broccoli and some panfried potatoes which tasted even more bland.
For dessert i had the mud ooz which is like a chocolate fondant with vanilla icecream on top. It took like more than 10mins just waiting for this to come.. but the wait was well worth. i believe this is the only dish that tasted decent.. All in all, i don't think i will come back to this place again.

Beacon & Sausage Baked Rice
Generous with their serving of sausages and backed rice, definitely worth every cents of your money at just $9.80! The taste of the food is pretty average (what can you expect with just beacon, sausages, rice and cheese?), but with the quantity served at such a attractive price, it justify all cost. The service at this shop is also quite impressive. I remember asking for 2 glasses of water, instead, they provide me with a jug for 2 of us to share. I don't remember any shop giving us such a generous serving of water before anywhere in Singapore!
For the ambience in the shop, I find that it is pretty cozy. Every table in the shop is lit by a candle, providing a romantic feeling in the air. However, if you want to have some quiet moments with your date, it is better to go there during the off-peak hours as the shop can get pretty noisy with all the evening crowds coming in for their meals.
Overall, quite a satisfying experience.

heard alot of this place but never maanged to drop by till yesterday. As I had my meal elsewhere with my friend prior to adjourning here, I did not get to have a sample of the main courses that they serve. Instead I went for a simple dessert and a cup of long black coffee. The dessert I ordered was named "Banatica". Bascially its caramelised banana slices with a few scoops of ice-cream served in a tall glass.
The taste of the dessert was not bad thou a bit tad too sweet for my liking. As for the coffee, it was just average but was good for that moment as it helped to complement the over-sweetness of my dessert. Overall I find that the dessert is quite alright. Next time, I will try to get a taste of the other foods there.

I was first introduced to Miss Clarity Cafe about two years ago and immediately fell in love with their good food, good service & great ambience! I love the pink decor....though I realize it might be a bit girlish for some.
My favorite item on their menu is the chicken cordon bleu which I always make it a point to order there! I also love that they have free wi-fi making it a good spot to meet up for group meetings (indeed I had a few there!) - though I'm not entirely sure they still provide this? Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to eat at Miss Clarity recently. Will definitely make a visit back soon!

haven been back to the cafe for some time, but when i tried it last year it was just average. the ambience, the quality of the food and the service. i guess it's the pretty laid-back atmosphere that appeals to the youth/student/undergrads crowd to hangout at this cafe. plus the prices are really quite affordable and the food is decent.
i personally dont quite fancy the very girlish decor tho. haha. so pinkish!

First tried out Ms Clarity way back in 2005/2006 when it first opened and was relatively unknown back then. Used to have their chicken cordon bleu which is essentially chicken stuffed with cheese and ham. There was no crowd then and prices were kept before $10 for a main course. With the publicity generated over the years and the opening of 2 new branches, the standard of food has dipped, prices have increased and the queues are quite insane. Oh did I mention that service is slow as well?
