I have been a Starhub MaxOnline user for many years too. Let's see...at least 7 years? It has been serving me really well, and it's so nice of them to increase their plans' bandwidth for free (then again, it could be that they are holding back their speed and giving us bit by bit).
I'm on the cheapest plan, mainly because I'm the only person at home using it. I don't know if upgrading my plan will help, but whenever I try SingNet at my friends' home, it feels faster. I believe it's the ping time. The same reason why online gamers swear by SingNet. But when it comes to downloading, Starhub seems to excel with really fast speeds.
All in all, I am a satisfied customer. But I do hope they will reduce their pricing. I admit I've been tempted several times to hop to SingNet due to their lower prices.

I'm also a starhub maxonline user. Personally, I feel that maxonline is faster and better as compared to other bb provider. Have been asking around others too when I have to recontract my subscriptions. And usually a higher percentage of ppl I talk to recommended me to stick to starhub. At least you don't have to worry about your home line plans? Another reason why I'm on starhub is also cos I do not have a home line since everyone at home has a mobile phone. And with the free incoming, what's the point of a home line?
If you find that the plan you subscribe to is too high, you can downgrade to a lower plan. The speed shouldn't be reduced too much. If you're comfortable with the wireless@sg speed while surfing outdoor, then go lower plan for home cable I would say.

Have been a Maxonline customer for more than 4 years. After couple of renewal with them for their Premium plan, I'm having second thoughts. Should I renew my contract with them again? Or hope on to other service provider?
Recently the wireless router that came with my sign-up seems to be going wonkie, probably due to old age. Another tell-tale sign to make me reconsider my bb plan for home. Other than the occassion disconnection (for few seconds) due to the wireless connection, all else are alright. Not much complain.
The only complain would probably be the bill. Paying it at full price now, monthly bill of $83 is really hurting my wallet.
Want to hear what others here think. Any starhub maxonline users here?
