I love The Soup Spoon! The last time I went was a few years ago and I was happy to go again recently to find that it has expanded! There's more seating area now although it's really cramped cos they tried to put as many seats as possible. On weekday evenings, the place was absolutely brimming with people! It was sheer luck that my friend and I managed to get a table!

Food Ordered: Seafood Clam Chowder in Bread Bowls - 2 servings Tuna Mayo Sandwich A bottle of Snapple

I love the clam chowder ($8.20) because it's so thick and flavourful! And it's fun eating up the whole bowl with it. One serving of this is actually enough for two people so my friend and I were absolutely full after...

The Tuna Mayo Sandwich was tasty but not extraordinarily. Serving is just right for one person, provided you don't order anything else much.

The total bill came up to about $25, which I find very reasonable since we ordered enough to feed 3 people. Definitely worth many more visits!

I had my first try at one of the outlets located at the Bugis Junction basement 1 with my friend. It was the cosy environment that attracted us to dine in there. The staff are pleasantly polite and friendly.

I ordered "Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff" for my choice of soup and an add-on of a half "smoked ham & cheese" wrap and ice tea.

Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff The soup tastes quite different from what I had from other places. The mushrooms are fresh and the soup is thick and creamy. With pepper added on it, it just tastes even perfect for me.

Smoked ham & cheese wrap The crust is crispy. It just taste simply great.

On the whole, it was worth spending as the price is rather reasonable. As people are getting more and more health conscious, this is the place worth dining as there are more healthier choice of soups, salads and sandwiches to choose from.

I would definitely visit it again next time! :)

just had my dinner tdy with my gf at this outlet of the Soup Spoon. It was my first time eating this though I had passed by several times before. There were quite a number of soups to suit different taste buds and I was quite spoilt for choice cos all looked yummy to me, especially when I was quite hungry.

In the end, I chose to have a clam chowder in a bread bowl, meaning that the soup was served in abread shaped as a bowl. In addition, I ordered a fisherman's seafood basket as well. The soup was nice and creamy, unlike some places whereby the soup is more akin to those Campell's instant soup in a can. The bread used was sour bread and it went down well with the soup. As for the seafood basket, the spreadhad a couple of shrimps, calamari, fish and fried scallops. The taste was quite ncie as well but hwoever I found it a bit oily though.

Overall, I found that the food is quite tasty and the price is considered resonable given its location. However, seats are quite limited and therefore it would be best to avoid going there during peak periods.
