Popular staff situated in a coffeeshop in Kebun Baru (AMK Ave 1). Signature dishes are the fish head steamboat, cereal prawns and prawn rolls. Fairly quick service, partially self serve (order and pay first). Crowded on weekends, come late or call ahead.

1 Review for “Tian Wai Tian Steamboat Restaurant (Ang Mo Kio) ” - Eating Places

Location: We've been here many times before, so finding it was not too difficult. Best accessed from AMK St22. We made it a point to come slightly later at 8pm on a Sunday to avoid the crowds (understanding the risk of some items being sold out)
Parking: Convenient barrier (as opposed to coupon) parking behind the coffeeshop. At 8pm, there was no shortage of empty lots.
Service: Brusque, but quick and efficient. Ordered and paid at the counter and was served first dish within five minutes.
Food: Our fave dishes are the Garoupa Steamboat for the nice soup stock which they automatically replenish for you (unlike the branch in Hougang St 21), the Salted Egg Pork Rib and the Sea Cucumber with Mushrooms. They were out of our usual stir-fried vegetables, so we opted for the Sweet Potato Leaves cooked with sambal which was quite oily.
Verdict: Still our choice for quick affordable home-cooked Chinese dishes
