Been to Timbre (Substation) for a couple of times. An excellent place to chill and hang out with friends. The local live band plays very good music as well. You can actually write your song dedication on paper or servettes requested from the waiters and hear the songs you like
Timbre is famous for their thin crust pizza and they offer a wide selection of toppings. They also have main courses that are both filling and tasty. My personal favourite is their 'Bangers and Mash'. Quality sausages and smooth creamy mashed potatoes.

Who cares about the service when you can have a rocking good time with the live bands and kick-assing-lecious pizza and thirst quenching beer.
The place feels nicely hidden from all the rush of Singaporean life. They have other food on the menu, but never really bothered, the pizza will keep you wanting more.
They have a nice assortment of choices for the toppings, and are considered enough to have a "half-and-half" pizza. As the name suggest, you can opt for two separate half of toppings for one pizza.
The bands they cover a lot of popular songs that you can bob your head to or simply let out the "closet-singer" in you, having beer as a convenient excuse for your outburst in croaking.
Oh, not recommended on weekends though, too crowded lah.

Timbre sells really delicious thin-crust pizza that makes me salivate at the mere thought of it! Coupled with beer and great music from local bands, it is the perfect hang-out on a relaxed friday day with your friends.
The place can get pretty crowded on weekends though, and since most are there to chill and enjoy the music, you really shouldn't be banking on waiting for the customers to leave so you can get a place. Try to reach there early, or an alternative is to visit their other branch at The Arts House, by the Singapore River.
I like the idea of supporting local bands too, so if you're like-minded or if you simply enjoy good music, Timbre can be the next place to visit for that next weekend chill-out of yours!

Ah... Can't believe it... Its in this place where i used to mosh to heavy hitting local rock acts! Now its transformmed into a milder place, no moshing or body surfing... But a whole new kinda experience as well...
The music for one is good. Not great but still good and enjoyable.
The drinks are standard, but the food... Rocking awesome! Pizza is juz nice, enough toppings and dough to fill up your body with the nice amout of carbs, vitamin and protiens you need... Haha... But I gotta say, it's seafood basket is definetly worth your money!Deep fried wedges, mussles, prawns and calamari. Simply mouth watering, not to mention sinful... But what the heck... Haha...
But service wise i gotta give it some down lows. Its pretty hard to get the waiter's attention at times especially when you're sitted at the corner and the lightings are not that bright... So advice anyone going not to wear black. Haha...
Well in all this place sure is enjoyable and cool to hang... Glad the rock and roll energy still lingers on at the Substation!

Visited Timbre once & I found the service is really bad. The servers or waiters/waitresses are really terrible. They're slow in responding to customers with hands shot up high in the air trying so hard to get their attention.
I'm quite put off by their service. But well, maybe it's due to the fact that it's a Friday evening.
I must agree with Pharque that the pizzas there are yummy especially the Mushroom Thin Crust. I love it. The chicken wings are pretty decent too.

Went to Timbre once with my friends, and..it's really a nice place to hang out. ;)
With the great band and nice ambience, it's the perfect place for you to hang out and spend time with your friends. But..if there's a huge crowd and loud music, it's definitely not a place for chats. Just chilling and enjoying the music will be fine. :)
And..yeah, pray that it doesn't rain because it is mostly unsheltered. :P

When I think of Timbre, I smell their Thin-crust Pizza. Leave your Pizza Hut Thin Crust Pizzas behind, go to timbre! I usually order their Mushroom Thin Crust. It's portabello mushrooms and lots of cheese that doesn't get you sick of but craving for more.
Tuborg's a really bad beer, don't bother to get the bucket.
Sometimes Timbre gets over crowded and that's not very cool.
The weather may be hot but when you get into timbre, surprisingly it is not as hot outside. Pray it doesn't rain, there are parts with no shelter.
Margaritas are pretty good there too.
Nice hangout ;)
I just will go there just for the pizza hahaha.
