Oh no. I did not know that Tv mobile is not available since 2010. I used to watch the seven o clock dramas on the bus when i am going back home from school. I really missed watching them on the bus. No wonder i find the bus a little quiet these days. I really hope the TV mobile will be back soon. Plus TV mobile actually forces me to listen to the news in the morning too. I dont really watch channel new asia in the morning. But i think TV mobile is good because it enables students who are ignorant of current affairs to be able to absorb some current affairs. REally hope that they can relaunch TV mobile.

As of 01 Jan 2010, tvmobile is no longer broadcasting.. And matter of fact i kind of missed it.. Missed its rumbling in the surrounding. It make bus riding not so boring and quiet. Though sometimes i hope it is not there and stop buzzing creating extra noise in the already noisy world, however, when i was bored or was trying to catch the 7 o'clock TV Mobile was always the other alternative or sometimes they are broadcasting my episode i missed...

Perhaps its really a good idea as bus rides are long and sometimes you just enjoy being occupied by something else rather then watching angry drivers trying to cut into another angry driver's lane. It is also a good distraction when somebody with a stinky and sweaty armpit stood so near to your seat with his arm balancing himself on the pole just above you.

Perhaps TV Mobile is not such a bad thing afterall it brought many some entertainment or leisure browsing... To think about it... Theres this one advertisement that was drilled into me by TV Mobile. Its by this steamboat restaurant in bugis and the slogan goes: 這個湯鎮的很好喝!!!

To the TV Mobile Team.. Good EFFORT and A WONDERFUL IDEA.. I miss you guys!!!

I was wondering if TV mobile could have more updated shows from svc or something, maybe life would be much easier on the buses. hmm but does that mean that the bus fares will go up again? And people might not want to alight the buses because they want to catch the show on till its over. ha. jus kidding. :P

I was wondering why the shows are repeated so often could be that they think people don't stay on the buses for long periods of time and so they re-loop the same programmes over and over for that period of months to allow us perhaps be able to finish the show after that span of time? :P

TV mobile has its pros as sometimes I manage to catch the news slot and able to keep myself updated with the news. And always seeing the programme, 'Just for gags' with the green "creature" jumping out crying that the show is over. Sometimes I feel a sense of relief when I see that. ha..

Overall, Its has brought some entertainment to me when i'm on a bus to somewhere far and when I didn't bring my mp3player with me.

When i think of TV mobile, i think of the mosquito flying around me with the buzzing sound. This is how irritating TV mobile can be.

I seriously wonder why they have it in the first place, when all the shows they are showing are repeated up to the extent of it showing 5 to 10 times! There was once i took buses equipped with TV mobile for a few days, and at that exact time at around 10.30 to 11am, they showed this show about spelling repeatedly for like 3 to 4 times! it is so Ridiculous!

the people in charge of TV mobile should really put in new shows that are specially for TV mobile. If they are scared by the low number of viewers, they can show those shows first on TV mobile and broadcast it on mainstream TV at a later date! This is a much more viable option, and it also provides TV mobile viewers with more options too!

Sometimes I wonder if the rise in bus fares was due to the installation of TV Mobile. About 1/2 of the buses I take either does not have one of those tvs installed, or they are installed but not on/working. So what's the use?

Many of the shows are on repeat and when you take the bus almost the same time every day, it means that in one week, you could probably have watched the same show 5 times! And worst, it's mostly channel 8 shows. Yes, I get that local films/series need exposure, but don't you think it's a little too much? And because they are in chinese, I have to read the subtitles when is painfully difficult on a small screen which is most of the time blocked by the person in front. So, I give up trying even to get a glimpse!

If this was indeed for entertainment, I think the only entertainment was just for laughs - which I enjoyed many a times. And I did like the olympics season when I could catch my favourite sports in action while on the road (if I'm lucky, that is!) But there were still lots of repeats :(

              TV mobile is horrid...

Same TV programmes that have already been shown on normal TV is shown over and over again, day after day...

Assuming you actually want to watch the the shows, it's impossible... The tv is so tiny, and can only be seen clearly by about 3 or 4 rows of seats, otherwise you would be too near to see or too far away, or catch the reflection from the sun, or blocked by a tall person... The speakers are far too soft... The screen keeps freezing up, and the sound quality is horrible.

Above all, NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO WATCH! Why can't they put all the TVs and speakers in one half of the bus, so that they can watch better, and the other half of the bus can ride in peace...

(Rating says 1 star means Please Avoid!, but you can't avoid it can you?)

Previous reviewers has already mentioned the initial launch of TV Mobile. However, now the frequent buses I board are normally the NEW buses and surprisingly, they don't have the TV Mobile box installed. So no chance to watch the programs shown in TV Mobile. However, TV Mobile is a good companion especially when you need to travel on board the bus for a long distance. But sometimes their reception can really drive you crazy and when you look at it for too long I will tend to have headaches. Some of the programs they show are always replayed. But still its a free service do I can't complain much though.
