Airasia... first time taking me to the sky and landed in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on last December..
what a great experience and value for money..
the air ticket was around $130 return way with baggage, insurance and meal combo.
the air stewardess was sweet and nice..
the seat.. was a bit cramp just like taking SBS bus..
the food was good, i taking the nasi lemak combo and very worthy.... just $3.50 for the meal if you book
one thing good is you pay for budget ticket but go thru a non budget terminal...Terminal 1..
not like tiger airway, you need to go to Budget Terminal...
recommended to go for AirAsia when there is promotion....

Had quite an experience yesterday, there's a massive traffic jam at PIE today and we reached the Changi airport very late and my mum's flight was like 50mins away and she has yet to check in. Initially I thought that there would not be so many people. Okay, this was our first time taking Air asia to Malaysia, so we don't know how is it like... Just because we wanted to try out a budget airline. Bad idea perhaps.
When we reached there, I was so surprised to see the amount of people queuing up to check in at all the 4 Airasia assigned counters. As we were running late and the bag is not in yet, I went ahead to ask the sales counter staff on whether he can assist me.
Normally if your counter is closed, I presume answering enquiries should also be part of your job right even though its not part of your job scope? That guy sitting there, looking at the computer screen, answered me sooo reluctantly and re-directed me to ask the person beside him when he can just go and ask the person there as he's so near to the counter! okay maybe I should not complain so much. At least there's something to compliment about..Thankfully, the guy at the front counter is being most helpful in letting me skip queue and check in as we were running very late.
No thanks to that sales counter guy and thanks to the other. :P Thus one of the stars is eaten up because of that bad attitude.. One thing I should do next time is to remember to check in online first, try not to have any check in luggage...and the best to go there much much earlier. :P

i had a bad experience with airasia where i bought a pair of promo tickets for my mum and one at the beginning of the year.
when the date is coming nearer, i realised i couldnt make it and ask if i could change the name to another relative of mine. if im not wrong, i called in march and the scheduled flight was in aug.
the lady on the phone told me i could and will take a note. she told me to go down to the airport when the date comes nearer and staff at the airport will assist me.
i went down to the airport and the lady told me its impossible to change the name as its bought during a promotion. and when i told her about the operator saying i could, the airport lady checked the computer and say no related memo is in the systems. i was so fed up as my mum was supposed to leave in a week's time and i cant possibily leave her to go there alone.
so i called back to the operator site and wanted to lodge a complain. i was transferred and transferred and just couldnt get through the complain line.
in the end my relative had to buy a cathay ticket to bangkok and the airasia one, being last time, their price is even more expensive than airasia! and there goes my 200 dollars worth of air tic!

My experiences with Airasia have been rather pleasant. Their air tix costs are one of my best alternative for a cheaper holiday destination, they sometimes also offer a few packages, just like the one i got for my Phuket trip last year end. It was a mere 600sgd for 4d3n with a 4star hotel, and air tickets for two!
Their staff, food, service etc are satisfactory, nothing i would fuss or rave about, as it is a low cost carrier. If i were to choose, for further destinations, i would probably pay slightly more for a commercial airline for more comfort.
Otherwise, it is a great alternative to the commercial airlines, and nice to my pocket.

I am okay with their service (or even lack of), cos afterall, it is a no frills low cost carrier. The downside is that these days, the fuel surcharges are so expensive that even these budget carriers are not THAT cheap anymore.
My only gripe from my most recent flight is their limited availability of food items to choose from. In the menu, there are already few enough items to choose from (depending on your flight routes), and they actually didn't serve a particular item that I asked for despite it being in the menu for my route. Oh the woes!
Well, beggers can't be choosers!

Having flown other budget airlines, I must say that AirAsia's crew are not that polite compared to conventional airlines. I flew with AirAsia more than 4 times from Johore Bahru to Kuala Lumpur in the past few years and I had always hated their seats. I had a backache after each flight. The stewardess also looked as if their demonstration of the buckling of the seat-belts were not a serious one. They frowned. I totally ignored what I saw and slept throughout each flight as a result of the LOOKS I saw on their faces.

i simply don't like air asia.
the staff in bangkok air asia is rude and they don't have any customer service.
we r taking a flight back to singapore from bangkok on the 3th april.
we went to the wrong airport(don mung) which our hotel recept told us to go there. we reach there at 1.30pm. coz our flight is at 2.45pm. but we r told that we came to the wrong airport. so we quickly go to the new airport. and we know we surly late. we reach the airport at 2.15pm. is like there is still half an hour. they shld at least let us in. if not we can squeeze in another flight. we explain to them y we are late. but in the end we got word from them that spike us. a total turn off. we r sad. a thai-chinese say this sentence in chinese:'' i don't believe you dont have money to buy new ticket if you are coming to travel." how can she say this.
we came with a sum of money to spent. and of coz we will surly spent whateva we have be4 going back. and to buy a new ticket cost us 5000plus baht.
air asia is cheap but seriously they are in human to say that sentence. how can they treat a group 20 year old youth that travel oversea without parent. we left with a few baht to eat at the airport. but in the end we have to gather money to buy new return air ticket. and call friend in singapore to transfer us money. after going back to singapore. we do not have pocket money to spent. feel hard the whole month as we need to return money to friend.
from today onward to rest of our life, we will not take air asia. which is all our friend advise us too.
:(

There's an explanation next to the review writing box mah. 1 star means very very bad, and 5 stars means excellent.
