I last tried this airline on a KL trip and managed to get a nice rate at about $80 inclusive of luggage. The flight itself was short so no complains thankfully. The air crew was most usually smiley and accommodating to simple requests.

However, they dont seem to have very good promotions recently. Even their $1 one-way promotion seems cheap at first, but if you click on dates etc, you'd find that the return sector is quite expensive and with taxes, it is hardly a good deal. I have this feeling that they try and sneak part of the price into the return sector to make people think that its a good promo. But I guess its my personal opinion - I'm sure the promotion works for alot of other people too.

Their marketing seems to fall below Jetstar and Tiger though. Of course I dont prefer them to spend alot on marketing then pass on the costs to passengers but there has to be some cost-effective ways which they can bring themselves up to par with their competitors no?

I Pretty enjoyed my flights with Air-Asia on many occasions. Though it truly is budget in many ways, like all flights will depart from the budget terminal (discontinued late 2012), you get to walk on the parking bay and climb up the plane via a stairway... Though not as convenient and classy to fly, somehow I felt I was getting on a coach...But It sure makes flying affordable and with a choice to choose the no frills services like food, beverages and leg space. I find AirAsia's flight prices and deals usually on the better and more economical side as compared to other low cost carriers, at least for this part of the world.

I love the leather seats and I find the plane more spacious then some low cost carriers. The air smells great inside the cabin and though the staff are not so attentive and helpful, they do their job pretty well. I find them casual and not pushy with the cart merchandises.

I'm always on a lookout on their website from new promotions and good deals as I do grab a steal at times. The destinations they do are pretty nicely spread-ed out and you could even go to Japan at a fraction of the cost. Its a pretty comfy flight and cleanliness of the cabin is pretty okay...

Love the in-flight magazine as they have pretty good articles though the merchandise available are pretty boring. And yes.. not much entertainment on-board however, a few times on this flight, they upgraded me to the premium seat near the emergency outlet with so much leg space I could dance and do a 360 flip... (not as if i know how to flip)...

      Love this low cost carrier....

Oh yar.... in malaysia, this flight departs from the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) in KLIA and its a mess there.... With so many flights going everywhere, so if you transit or board there, please arrive a little earlier to find your way around. Though the check in is very quick, you could get lost walking here and there....

Airasia... first time taking me to the sky and landed in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on last December.. what a great experience and value for money.. the air ticket was around $130 return way with baggage, insurance and meal combo. the air stewardess was sweet and nice.. the seat.. was a bit cramp just like taking SBS bus.. the food was good, i taking the nasi lemak combo and very worthy.... just $3.50 for the meal if you book

one thing good is you pay for budget ticket but go thru a non budget terminal...Terminal 1.. not like tiger airway, you need to go to Budget Terminal... recommended to go for AirAsia when there is promotion....
