Joined in the fun for the 1st Eat Out by Yebbers at Eden. It was fun to see the people behind the usernames. Hee.... Fun and friendly people. It is also one of the time that I actually ate from 8 plus to midnight, so it ended as a dinner/supper session. Haa...

The resturant was along Club street, well have to look out for the signage if not will miss the place.

The place is small but cosy, with simple decoration.

The boss, Clement is very friendly going ard making small talks with people at the same time making sure that the food are ready to be served on time.

    Now to the food:

    Starters:

Tomato based seafood soup: It is a thick tomato based seafood. The seadfood inside was fresh as well. I enjoyed it.

Endives with Mushroom and bacon canapes: I stongly recommend this starter. It was great! The mushroom was grilled (or pan fried) to prefection, and yet able to retain its juices within. Together with the bacon canapes, they formed a prefect match! Simply wonderful!

    Main:

Rosemerry rose petal garlic lamb / beef: Hmm... did not managed to taste the rose petal, but the beef that I have was tender.

Lemon garlic Mahi Mahi: I believed that this dish was changed to snow fish. Even thought there is a hint of lemon and garlic taste but then it did not managed to fully cover the fishy smell. Overall a pleasant dish.

Seedless grape chicken: This one came in a pastry form where we have to break open the hard pastry for it. It was like digging for treasure. Hee... Once opened, can smell the faint smell of the grape. The only sad thing about this dish is the chicken is a bit too dry for my liking. If not, this will be a wonderful dish as well.

Balsemic Strawberry Beef: This dish is another winner! I loved it. The taste of the strawberry went into the beef which was a prefect match as well. The beef was tender and juicy! The strawberry a bit on the sour side. Hee....

Black sesame mushroom pasta: Once they placed this dish in front of me, I could smell the cheese. With is handmade pasta (I believed), it is unique but too unique for my taste.

    Desserts:

Wine tea floral fruit jello: Got two of it, one is made with extra from hibicus and the other I forgot alr. Hee.... Both are good! Not really too sweet and taste really well!

Balsume mosse cake: Light on taste, with a hint of cheese in it.

Got 2 more desserts, which I forgot their names, one is another cheesecake.

Overall, the whole meal is fine, but maybe my expectations are a bit too high from reading the reviews above or manybe they are too busy trying to get all the dishes out on time that it might affect the quailty of the food that day.

However, I will be back to try their other dishes especially their desserts that Clement had recommended.

Thks to the organisers for this party and Clement for the great host, explaining every dish to us.

I am a big fan of toastbox's soft bun. Haa... Vivocity outlet is one of the outlets that I usually would go to. Its location is good, once step out of the underpass, it can been seen. Therefore explains the large crowd as well.

The price is generally lower than other places.

I usually will go for the softbun set. They would toast the soft bun unitl it is crispy outside and inside is soft. Together with their kaya, and thick slices of butter. The combination of these 3 things make their soft bun simply heavenly!

The eggs came intact, so you have to break the eggs on your own. It is kind of fun to do it as well.

The tea that I usually have comes thick with full of tea and milk flavour.

They also sell other food like nasi lemak, mee siam, cup cakes etc. They also got a lot of different toast, kaya toast or thick toasts as well.

The service of the crew is fast and they also clean up fast as well.

The place always serves a good snack place if I happen to walk pass one.

Passed this place a few times and always find it packed. So happen to find empty seats so decided to pop in for a drink. It got both outdoor and indoor seats. The indoor seats have serval plush and posh big sofa seats and have to say that they are very comfortable to sit and relax. Have to say that the coffee aroma is very tempting as well.

They got a huge varity of drinks and I decided to have a nice cup of Hazelnut milk. It turn out to be a pretty good steamed milk I have there. I loved it. Hang out there for a few hours chit chatting before heading home.

It is a nice place to sit, relax and people watch there, while enjoying their drinks there. If you got the sofa seats, count yourself lucky ok! Hee....

Tutu Kueh! Yummy! Guess I was lucky, as I was the last customer who ordered the Durian filling ones. So they stuffed all the remaining bits of fresh durian into my kueh!

As it was late, there were many diners at Food Republic. And many ordering their Tutu. Although I was very full, I couldn't resists trying the durian tutu. They're slightly more expensive, 3 for $2. But for me, I find that its surely worth it.

Can't compare the usual fillings with those in my photos as I was lucky to be the last customers. You can see that the filling was so much that it cracked the surface of the tutu!

I will surely go back for more durian tutus. Yummilicious!

Thanks to Great Sage for posting his reviews. It reminded me about my encounter with them! :)

I had always been a big fan of cathay cinemas for a lot of reasons!

I was there over the weekend for Lust Caution and it was showing at The Grand Cathay. My fav cinema of all, other than GV Max. So size matters ok! Hee....

First to start off there area lot of counters (two on ground floor and 6 on 5th floor) to buy tickets and the service is good and prompt.

Another thing I like about cathay is their popcorn. They have very tasty popcorn! Me jz loving it!

The seats are very plush and comfortable and The Grand Cathay being their biggest cinema. Of cos the leg space is bigger than the normal ones. Being the show start they will ahve a little ceremony to open the curtain to reveal the large screen. Haa...

The screen to the soundsystem is flawless. I totally enjoyed my every show there. I will always make it a point to see if there is any show showing at The Grand Cathay since paying the same amount of $$ for the tickets. Haa....

I had walked past this new restaurant a few times while I was there. the first time I was about to walk in for dinner, they were closing alr. So too bad. This time whiel walking aimlessly in Orchard, thinking wat to eat, suddenly thought of it and decided to give t a try. Hee....

So the place was pretty packed when we were there. We were in the queue, waiting to be ushered to our seats while browsing the menu. The next thing I know the couple behind me was ushered in. Hmm.... I think the waitress should have asked us first since we are in the queue.

There are 4 tables, each able to seat 10 people. The decoration is simple but the plates and sauces plates that they are using are very nice, with plum flower prints. Very classy touch!

The menu is pretty simple. All in set meals of cos there are ala carte as well. We ordered a seafood set and a beef set. Since there are other customer seating at the table, the chef already started cooking their food, from the looks of it, it loks promising!

The seafood set comes with 3 prawns, 2 scallops, fore gais, duck meat, assorted mushroom, rice and miso soup.

The beef set comes with beef, chawmisu (the steam egg thing), assorted mushroom, rice and miso soup. Still got something that we did not managed to taste out what it is. Hee.... Oh yes, still got the garlic rice as well.

Overall, the food is good. The chef did not do anything amazing. no stunts while cooking. The food is cooked in rotation, mean the food does not come in at the same time.

I was amazed how the chawmisu (the steam egg thing) is being cooked. Using an onion layer as the bowl, the egg contents are placed inside and "steamed" on the hot plate. It is great!

A lot of garlic is used during the cooking and it does makes everything taste good. Of cos, for those who dun like garlic too bad.

Overall, it is a good place for some teppanyaki food. It will be fun if can get 10 ppl to seat together. It will be a lot of fun.

Sorry no pics for this post as got stangers seating at the same time. Hee.... Too pai seh to take pics.

Great service! Makes one feel at home.

We were looking for a place for coffee and decided to settle at Breeks. We sat at a corner table and was immediately given the menu. Our order came quite promptly. We didn't ask for ice water which we usually do, and I don't know why we didn't.

Anyway, the manager (i guess) saw that we didn't have any water, other than the coffee we ordered, she automatically served us warm water. Felt this was a nice gesture especially at cafe like Breeks. Some places don't even serve ice water. You've to pay 50cents for a mini bottled distilled water.

Great place to chill and rest. If you've no where to go over the weekends, I strongly recommend heading to Harbourfront. Especially with the $2/entry parking from 10am to 1am on Sat/Sun and PH!

Forget about the full-sized donuts! Marcial Kobe's mini ones are much more yummilicious!!

Happened to be at Central last week and decided to give these cute little donuts a try. Located at the corner of Central basement (where I usually get lost walking as it seems like a maze to me). There were about 10 flavors to choose from. Not sure if its on promo or the usual price, but I got 12 mini donuts at $4. Quite cheap lah!

These donuts are very crispy and are not too sweet. The size is just nice to pop into your mouth. But I had to bite them bit by bit to savor the different taste of each mini donuts. There were the sugared ones, caramelized ones, chocolate ones, and alot of others, which I can't recall! All are delicious lah! So go give it a try when you're around The Central ya!

Vivocity is one the biggest shapping mall in Spore. I will be there almost every weekend as well. Haa....

I feel that it is one of the best design shopping centre as well. When I was there for the first time, I have a feeling a being lost as the place is really big, even with the help of a map. However after a while, I get used to it and find it quite easy to move around as well.

They boast the biggest cinema in Spore, got a sky train to Sentosa, and they are next to St James, the biggest entertainment outlet.

They also managed to get a lot of big fashion brands like Gap, River Island, Tangs, etc.

Electronic shops like Samsung, Challenger, Best Denki and many more handphone shop.

Restaurants, from small cafes like Ben and Jerry, to the usual coffee joints like Starbucks and Coffee Bean etc, to the fast food, special ones like Super Dog, to all lot of food courts, Food Republic. Too many to list down here.

There is also a big wading pool on the roof top where good to see kids running in and out. There are also lots of grass patches to have a picnic maybe.

So there are tons of things to do there. Good way to spend a weekend, if you are sick of town shopping centres.

While waiting for my movie to start, decided to hang out out Ben and Jerry for some ice cream. I think this is one of the biggest outlet in Spore with a space for some bands to jam.

I am always a big fan of Ben and Jerry ice cream, especially Chucky Monkey! Hee....

The service of the place is pretty smooth. Nothing to wow on.

The main thing that I dun like was the band yesterday. I thought that I can have a good chat but it turns out that the band was too loud for any chit chat and the singing was not good. The singer was screaming at every word. Sigh..

So in the end we jz finished out ice cream fast and move out of that place fast! I think if their plan is to use the band to make the customer move out of the place fast, I think they had done it.

The ice cream 5 stars but overall experience at the outlet 2 stars.
