Used to carry a wide variety of jade and diamonds-related products but in recent years, the company has also started to cater on modern design of gold and precious stones.

What is unique is the range of design that are not easily found in other jewellery shops. Each piece is moulded with its own characteristic look.

Jade is particularly the stone that will capture your eyes. They are green with envy and the design on each piece is created with the mind of a modern woman and will stand the test of time. Even if that design is taken out to wear after 10 years, it will still be a beautiful piece to be appreciated.

We were quite impressed with the staff who showed that all are well-versed in the technology of making each piece. They took time to explain the future value of 1-carat diamond ring ( which we are eyeing on ) and were always ready to show us other designs with comparative price.

We have actually came prepared with prices that we have obtained from other jewellery shops and therefore, we are well aware what we intend to buy

We walked out of the shop a happy and satisfied customer, knowing well that we have bought the ring at a good price and with a newly acquired knowledge of diamonds.

Good service!! This is what I will rate for this branch.

If you were to look through the menu booklet on the 1st page, this company is proud to advertise their achievement and various awards for the past few years.

We were attended by a very friendly staff who took our orders, even recommending us to try their award-winning marble cheese cakes. Upon confirming our orders, he politely check with us whether we are comfortable sitting at the location facing the common passage way. He can move us to another table away from staring eyes looking at our food. We were very touched by his consideration.

Every 20 minutes he would drop by to check on us for any additional order or comments. We noticed that all the staff behaved the same way. They took care of every customer's needs and everyone of them has this big smile when talking to any customer.

By the way, it happened to be a Public Holiday and the queue was fantastically long.

Anyway, his recommendation was good. The cheese cake was not sweet ( which I like it that way ) and it just melt the minute you put into your mouth. Very smooth texture and not dry or too moist at the bottom of the cake.

Give this place a try but be prepared to wait. Went there several times on weekdays. Also have to queue

      88. Philips InfraCare

Philips InfraCare, a portable infrared heat lamp. Bought one recently at Best Denki. Was not convinced of sales talk or demo by staff but a friend of mine just sprained his ankle last week and was complaining that there was a slight creaking sound each time he walks up the stairs.

Have asked him to try the displayed model. After sitting for 20 minutes, his feedback was that he felt a warm feeling near the ankle. The salesman continued to explain that these lamps are designed to relieve chronic muscular pains, rheumatic disorders, stiff muscles and joints. The infrared helps to improve blood circulation which will then supplies more oxygen to the affected area.

A few elderly ladies also sat to try it out. There were giggles and laughter when they have to lift up the bottom part of their pants to expose their ankles. All of them felt a soothing effect. It must be the heat from the lamp.

( Latest feedback from my friend - No more cracking pain! )

Developed by Philips, there are 3 models available. From standing version for entire back, thigh and knees, portable version for neck, shoulder and calf to the smallest version for specific small areas only. Not sure about price but bought mine less than $150

Products are made in Germany and has been approved by the European Medical Device Directive, an international body which test and assess such products for use on people

Currently available at Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Robinsons and selected Guardian pharmacies

I trully agreed with tinkerbell's comments. It is about time that the Government protrayed the effects of smoking on a national scale. No point having these images printed on cigarette boxes when the main target are the potential ones that decide to pick up this habit from a young age. As far as the smokers are concerned, they are used to such images and don't even bother to look at them each time they buy a new pack.

As the age group of smokers are getting younger from survey done recently, we have to act fast unless we want the next generation to live a life of misery. If the advertisement is scary and have a huge impact, then I am one of them that will strongly support the move to advertise it regularly as a constant reminder to both young and old smokers or non-smokers.

          90. Bedok Bak Cho Mee

          Category: Hawker Centres
Whenever I walked past this hawker centre, I saw people queing up for their Bak Chor Mee. I thought it must be good. So I joined the queue.

Not bad, worth waiting. They served only home-made noodles which has the springy effect when you chew on it. As this stall only sell the noodles in soup, it is either you order small thin round noodle ( mee kia ) or thin flatten noodle ( mee pok ). It comes with meat balls, minced meat dumplings ( wanton ) and of course, loosen minced pork.

Together with finely cut red chillies, the soup really taste sweet and superb.

If you observe around, most of the people will patronise this stall. The number of bowls that the cleaners collect each day can be quite tall when they stacked them in front of the stall.

There are many minced pork stalls in various hawker centres, but what stand out at this stall is the soup and the dumplings.

Give this stall a try if you like soup noodles but be prepared to wait half hour to 45 minutes during dinner time.
