From the plain look of it, it looks like this outlet is not popular due to service and location. All the other F&B outlets in Paragon were having queues so we decided to dine here as there was no queue and it is not having full capacity.

The ambience is good as it is located away from the crowded and busier section of Paragon. Nice place to chill if just wanting to slack and wind down the windows for a moment.

I ordered a kofta meatball while my friend ordered a roast beef sandwich. The kofta meatball tasted alright, with much pasta gravy poured around the sandwich. I didn't like the other dish though. The beef in the sandwich is very thin; I couldn't really taste the beef. Instead, there was more tinge of vegetable taste in it. There was too much vegetable for my liking. It looked more like a salad dish to me.

I also tried out their passion tea. Not much of a problem with it, just felt that it was a bit sweeter than usual. The waiters were very prompt in servicing us during this visit, in which they were very precise in taking our orders.

1 thing I noticed about this outlet is that the stewarding section is situated just next to the kitchen, with no partition separating the sections. I wondered if the food is hygienic or not as this 2 place should not be placed within such close proximity.

It is not common to find a fine-dining restaurant in the Tampines estate. For those in this area curious to give something else a try, Top Table may be an alternative for you.

This restaurant is located at Temasek Culinary Academy in Temasek Polytechnic. It is a full-service restaurant that serves as a training ground for hospitality and culinary students to hone their skills. The school has teamed with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to train the students in these specialties. It is opened to the school’s population, as well as the general public.

Most of the time, the restaurant usually serves the 3-course menu that cost $12 consisting an appetiser, main and dessert. Be mindful that no alcohol is served here, although you may bring in your alcohol at no extra charge. Mocktails are served here instead, a glass costing $2.

While waiting for food to be served, you could view the instructors coaching and monitoring the students on their servicing and cooking via the glass windows. If you’re afraid the food are not in edible status, fear otherwise as the instructors will ensure that all food served are clearly inspected before serving. As for the food, the menu is changed every week or two according to the schedule for the chef's coaching.

The service staffs, or rather the students, are well equipped with the food knowledge and the service sequence. But do give them the benefit of the doubt if they make a small hiccup here and there. After all, they’re still learning the tricks of the trade.

The restaurant is open during the polytechnic's semester term, 11.30am to 2pm (last order). There is a general dress code to adhere. No slippers, shorts or exposing dress are allowed. Jeans are acceptable though. But it is understandable on the part of the school.

Do remember to make a reservation before coming in. You can try walking in, but chances are, you may be rejected due to full capacity.

The most popular item here at this place? It definitely has to be the wassant. Look at the previous posts and you'll know, it's really that good.

The price has increased to $6 for a pack of 10. Even so, it is only about 60 cents a piece. It comes in 2 flavours, namely chocolate and custard. You can purchase a combination, custard or chocolate flavoured packet. It is shaped like a snail's shell, looking very adorable with nice patterns on the surface. The bread is filled with layers of custard or chocolate filling in between each layer.

There is also this other item I always buy, which is the chocolate or custard creme/cream. It is shaped like a cone of an ice cream, centered with chocolate or custard fillings. My favourite would be the chocolate one, most of the time sold out whenever I make a visit.

They offer other interesting range of bread such as milk bread, curry donut, sausage bread, danish delights, chocolate twist and many more. Not the usual kind you see in typical bakeries. You can take away or dine-in, upon your preference. This place sells hot and cold coffees for enhancing your bread tasting experience.

Do come by early if you do not want to be disappointed. The more popular choices usually sell out quite fast so it proves the quality of their bread. The price is somewhat around the range of Breadtalk, but I would rather buy here. It's definitely a must try when you visit Holland Village. If you can't find the place, just try searching opposite the Katong Laksa shop.

It was quite some time back when I patronised this outlet in February. The menu has tweaked quite a bit so I will not be mentioning about the soft shell crab udon I ordered because I presume they have realised how bad it is. (And if I do review, it's not going to be a good one)

The outlet is smacked right at the heart of Orchard Road, in between Orchard Shopping Centre and Orchard Building. This is a 24-hour servicing outlet, which is operating al fresco style. There are mist fans slotted around to keep the place cool, but I still don't fancy going there on a hot and sunny afternoon. From here, customers can get to see the different walks of life engaging in their daily life or shopping along the street. Maybe a time for some to self-reflect perhaps?

But one particular incident strikes me, which made me real disgusted and avoid visiting this outlet in the near future. I requested for a cup of water, only for my request to be rejected. Reason being that the outlet has a policy not to serve water. I don't know whether if it holds true on other occasions but I find it puzzling. Why can't I even have a cup of water? It's not as if I did not make any order or drink order. I just wanted some water to cleanse my throat, how difficult can that be?

Anyway, I would recommend having their drinks whenever you visit. Their forte is at coffee and tea making so don't expect too much of their food quality.

Don’s Chicken Pie   Don’s Black Pepper Chicken Pie   Don’s Pie
For those who do not know, their outlet opposite at Far East Square has closed. But it doesn't make a difference since they're just opposite each other. Guess they realised it's redundant for an outlet with such close proximity.

I have envied their pies for many years, which I will always make a point to purchase whenever I'm in this area. My favourites are the Chicken and Black Pepper Chicken Pie. The pies are very filling and big, sometimes more than what my tummy can stomach for a meal. The pies are very scrumptious, filling and thick. Each segment of the pie is filled, not a single inch of emptiness. I used to even take 2 hours to finish the small pie, this is how filling it is. The key ingredient that strikes out includes the potato, mushroom, chicken, peppercorn and the hard-boiled egg. It all adds up to make this pie so yummy!

For those looking out for great pies in Singapore, this is the place. It's not common to find a great pie shop in our sunny island, which tends to taste better in countries in the northern hemisphere.
