SMRT bus......Another thing people often criticise SMRT buses for are the seats. It can cause skin irritation as germs and bacteria could cumulate in the furry seats. If you're not convinced, try hitting the seat and see the particles floating out. I understand that bus captains have their duties at hand, whether is it in checking and making sure that passengers paid their fares or if their passengers moved to the back of the bus to allow other boarding passengers to board and things like that. But what happened next really left me feeling disgusted with this bus captain’s attitude and aggressive behavior towards me.
Just before I reached my intended stop, I went up to him and ask what exactly was going on and he simply feigned ignorance. When I questioned him on why did he have to humiliate and embarrass me in front of so many passengers even though I paid my fare, he started to raise his voice at me and claimed that he never humiliate me at all. So I explained to him that he just pointed at me accusingly and at the EZ Link machine and he claimed that he asked me nicely to tap my EZ link card for verification.
And he next taunted me by saying that I can lodged a complaint against him if I feel like it and further said that I was being aggressive and he would report me to the police even though he raised his voice at me first. Of course I was angry and raised my voice back at him. He kept raising his voice, taunting me and still embarrassing and humiliating me by saying that I was aggressive even though he was the one who raised his voice throughout the conversation until I got off the bus.
Smoking is a habit that is difficult to quit for smokers, and..if having this campaign makes people aware and disgusted, it is actually considered a minor success isn't it? The ads may not stop smokers from breaking out of their habits, but..it may saved some people from picking up the habit.
Seriously, smoking is a person's choice. Do you think a smoker is totally oblivious to the detrimental effects of smoking? There are ads everywhere! The gory pictures on the boxes are only getting bigger, and the number of campaigns to put forth the message have only been on the rise.
If the point of the campaigns are to raise awareness, then it's all good. The message has been sent, job well done. But these campaigns don't stop there, their real motive is to eradicate the smoking population. If this was not true, then why are they resorting to the use of 'fear' to communicate this point? Fear is never used for informative purposes, but instead, it is used to intimidate.
In one's life, a person will pick up a countless array of activities. Be it from collecting matchboxes to sadomachoism, it is the person's choice. You may inform the person of the after effects, and kudos to you for doing so, but what in the world would even make you think about telling a person how to live his or her own life.
SBS buses are quite good in a sense that they are always there.... but not at night much....
well in some cases in other country like in malaysia. At my place you have to walk about 1.24 miles just only to the bus stop but you have to wait for the bus till up 3 to 4 hours, and thats we call that not a good service i think the buses in singapore are negotiable, only the the bus fare is expensive.
But just try to estimate your time to the destination you want i bet when you plan properly. there's no problem to it...
yup compared when you had cars you have to re fuel your petrol and that cost you money, the parking lots ? ERP ??? ETC....etc....
it was quite a pleasant time, but this time round, it was not up to expectation, and i was really quite pissed off with the service staff there.
Firstly, the sound system is fairly okay, i mean most karaokae outlets have about the same systems, and its passable, but the remote control is not working properly, as in its faulty at times.
Next, i find that the staffs there are not well-trained enough, in a sense when i asked a question, they have to ask two more persons to get back to me, this clearly shows to me the lack of technical expertise they possess, not trying to say that i am finding fault with them, but rather i believe as a service staff you should always equip yourself with the relevant knowledge you should have. I just asked a simple question " Is there any discount for K-Box members " and it took the service staff a whole 30minutes to get back to me.
I also think i sort of got "cheated" in a sense of our money, each person cost about 25bucks, when we went during the happy hour period, and it is supposed to cost only
16bucks ( including GST and other charges ) i think the person thought we were not students, when i specifically said i wanted the student package
One good thing is it got balcony outside every room for smoking...
