with everthing at just $2, one would be tricked into thinking that it is really cheap, and be at risk of buying many items, and end up spending many $2ssss!
having said that, i do agree that there are many good buys at daiso. i especially like all the household items that they have, which are often not found anywhere else. these little gadgets/tools are not must-haves, but can easily make life a tad simpler/better for us.
i can spend a looong time shopping in daiso, because there are simply too many interesting items to check out. i tend to do frequent mental checks of the items i intend to buy though, "do i REALLY need this???!" (:

I like the gift boxes they sell at Daiso. You can't find them at $2 (for the size I took) elsewhere like Spotlight.
And yes I agree that not all things there are considered cheap at $2. So please do check out the market rate of similar items before proceeding on to make a purchase.
Meanwhile, my colleague likes to buy those fake long nails from Daiso, which I believe is cheap too.

I love this place.... loads of things to buy. The Japanese got a lot of creative inventions and therefore attract a lot of ppl. There are things I buy not becos I need it but I find it interesting. :) Another good thing is that I don't have to worry abt price cos every item is priced the same.The only problem is that the place is a bit messy at times cos ppl tend to rummage the shelves. Overall, pleasant experience.
