They will always try their best to persuade u to buy their pet. They will tell u all the good points. But i found that they hide the bad point also.As my previous experience,i understand that all dogs from small have to be correct constantly so as the dog won't be spoiled easy or confused about what actually is right or wrong.Daliy walk is important to a dog,min 15min to 45min at least once a day.All these they failed to highlight. They also failed to mention about the money needed to take care of the dog,eg.food,grooming,vacination.They only say it is cute, toilet trained n well behaved. But how about first time owner or those who bought the dog on impluse? If u never highlight the important points. What will happen to the dog if the new owner failed to realise the important of daliy walk n constant correct of behavior of dogs?We ask for obedience class n vacination ,they say they will introduce. But after we handed over the money, they just forgot about everything. They even come out with a insurance that only promised to refund the owner the price of the dog if anything happens to the dog within one one month. And guess how much is one month insurance?$241!!!Money,money,money.It is all they care for.
We bought a pug from this farm less than a week ago on 24th December 2008.
We paid $1,800 for him and also bought over $200 worth of accessories from that farm
However, now, we found that he is having actually fungus attack on many patches of his body.
We have bought him to the vet and was told this condition actually occured probably even before we
bought him.
We are seriously disapointed to see the dog we bought less than a week ago in this conditon.
seller could have told us his condition beforehand.
Besides, why is there no deworming records found in his vet booklet as well?
bought my puppy from ericsson in Nov08 (ard less than a month). I do not know if the price that I had paid is consider expensive or not. But i think buying puppy should not be based on cheap or expensive but this is definitely one factor that the owner have to consider. My view is that the most important factor should be if you have any bond or feelings with the puppy before you buy it. And thus no irresponsible case.
Something good that I feel abt ericsson:
They provide certificate for the puppy with the unique microchips barcode on it. should be trustworthy base on that.
Their place is presentable (agreed with nicnic) and clean. They also have a good range of pets to choose from.
One observant (as a new dog owner) is that I feel that the puppies there are generally healthy. I am not very sure if that is 100% true but I derive that thinking based on the pet's feces.
Dislikes:
They also provide boarding services for pets but I do hear from some friends not to put my dog there. Somehow, not encourage to.
I do agree that their staff are trained to say that they will see your face before deciding on the discounts...etc....whether you look sincere or not and if you really is a good dog owner.
a friend of mine recently got a puppy from ericsson pet farm and i didnt know even the price for puppies have went up! god. up till abt 50% more the price i got my dog from them, which was 3 years back.
anyway, along the stretch of road with many other pet shops, ericsson seems like the one which is the most presentable, which i believe is the reason why it always attract the most crowds.
i cant comment on the 'quality' of the puppies they sell, but just sharing some of my experience in ericsson.
one thing i dislike about ericsson is the double standards of serving customer. this week they will happily give you a 20% discount on purchases and next week they'll tell you they cant possibly give you 20% off. i guess it really depend on the mood of the staff on how much discount they want to give you.
another thing i realise after my friend bought her puppy, ericsson is always using the same technique in selling, which is to tell you another buyer is coming to get the dog today or the day after, but the staff likes you and will wanna sell the dog to you instead. the staff said the same thing to me when i got my dog from them. this is something i really discourage as it seems like they are trying hard to sell you the dog which if people bought the dog on impulse, you cant say for sure the owner will be a responsible one. and what happen next is the innocent dog becoming a victim on irresponsible ownership.
