I went on a weekday with a friend after lunch to try out their ice cream.
My experience there was quite a disappointment. There were alot of students flooding the place so there was hardly a place to sit & cause they're students, they were really noisy & spoiled the ambience.
There were some big grps of students who wont even budge after eating, happily chit-chating even though they knew the place was crowded. Inconsiderate.
We ordered a cup of ice cream with 2 scoops & nuts as toppings cost us $5.50. $0.50 for topping. Average pricing for ice cream. We had mango & strawberry.
I disliked both flavours, it was overly sweet & creamy which leaves you wanting for alot of water. The topping wasnt crunchy at all.
I heard their brownie was gd but it looks small & hard & not appetising for me to try it.
The deco was not bad but the students were a total turn-off. I wont ever step into this place.

Island Creamery is a nice place to go and chill, especially on a lazy afternoon or weekend when you've got nothing to do, and just feel like eating some ice-cream.
The ice-cream really isn't too bad, and they've got some original flavours like Nutella, ReversO, Burnt Caramel and Teh Tarik.
Some of these ice-cream are really sweet though, and just be prepared to drink lots of water.
One thing i like about this place is their friendly staff. With a smile on their face and prompt service, this place is quite a hit with students~
Another thing of note is the walls, if you haven't already noticed, they're filled with pictures of past customers, most of them in a group (though some are in pairs) in various poses inside the restaurant itself.
A good place to leave memories by, who knows, you may see your picture still there after a year or two :)
Overall, i like the ambiance and cosyness of this place, and there's ice-cream and friendly staff to boot! Perhaps that's the charm of this place, though i would say the ice-cream may be a bit over-rated~

Island Creamery is an ice cream parlour that offers unique local flavours for both young and old – think Teh Tarik and Tiger Beer sorbet and not your typical boring chocolate or vanilla flavours. I tried the Pulut Hitam and I have to say that it kinda reminded me of the days in NS, where it was one of the favourite desserts among the field ration.
However, the texture of the ice-cream is a bit rough as compared to the ice cream from Venezia, at Guthrie House, Sixth Avenue.
Despite that, it is still a chic place for teenagers to hang out with, and it even encourage people to take photos, print out, and leave their wonderful memories behind, pasted on the wall. So who says all sweet stuffs leave you with a bad aftertaste?
