Ambience: Nice and cosy Japanese dining with a view. Located on the second floor of Bugis Junction, we had a good of the bustling indoor street below, from the balcony where we were seated. Homely-decorated with pots of flowers placed along the corridor (which we had to be careful not to knock over).

Food: The menu is very extensive, so it would take a few visits to try everything. We loved the Beef Teppanyaki Set ($19.80) and the Salmon Teppanyaki Set ($19.80) which features a DIY hot plate, miso soup, potato salad and bowl of rice. Thin slivers of beef or salmon topped with a pat of butter which you have to fry yourself on the sizzling hot plate. From our previous visit, we learned to fry the meat quickly and set them aside, as the tealight quickly fizzled out. Very tasty when eaten on its own, or dunked in the accompanying dipping sauce. Comes with a cup of English tea or coffee in the form of a coupon which you present after your meal. Green tea is available separately at $1.50 free flow.

Avoid the Chicken Teriyaki Set ($20.50) or Beef Teriyaki Set ($21.80) which ends up soaking in a layer of oil.

Service: Very poor service, hard to get the servers' attention even thirty seconds after they seated us. Food service was also quite slow, considering we cooked the meat ourselves. Probably good for a romantic meal if you have lots of time to spare.

This outlet is big and it is situated on Level 2 overseeing the shopping lane in Bugis Junction. So if you want an afternoon just looking at other shoppers but not be looked back at, you can take the seats besides the open window; while if you want an afternoon chit-chatting with your girl friends, you can take the inside seats, and not be disturbed. The disadvantage of either is that the staff didn’t bother to come by our seats, and we didn’t want to keep raising our hands to catch their attention.

We went on a Friday afternoon, after we finished lunch at another outlet. But the place is still about one-third full (some other restaurants are already near empty by that time).

Our orders were clearly targeted at their desserts – and they have A LOT of choices!! Their edge over other dessert place is that they used a lot of the Japanese-style ingredients, like the gyuhi (coloured glutinous rice cake) and the shiratama (chewy white glutinous rice ball). The other Japanese restaurants tend to either not have as many types of ingredients, or they only offer limited combination choices.

We had 2 ice-cream orders and 1 red bean paste order. The red bean paste order is a cold dish!! with green tea ice-cream and the shiratama and it looks appetising with the 3-colours. The 2 ice-cream orders had different themes and came with slightly different combination of ingredients. For me, I do not like my ice-cream or pastry to be green-tea flavor, so this place is great for me – some Japanese restaurants only serve green-tea (mocha) ice-cream.

Went to MOF and had our lunch on one of the day ...

i ordered a ramen set while my friend ordered vegetarian set and together we ordered one dessert .

Total cost us $50 after rounding up...

For drinks we have hot green tea which is -FOC .

The ramen i had is fried chicken ramen ...

Love the soup and ramen but not the chicken ...

The soup taste deliciously as it really bring out the Ramen .....

so i have finished up the soup before i finished my noodles and chicken ..haha

the noodles was very nice too ! it was "Q" and long ....haha

i guess the reason why it taste nice was because of this

"No Added MSG, Chemicals, Preservatives, Artificial Colourings or Flavourings"

i don;t think the chicken is nice was because i guess fried food don't really go well with soup dishes. .

their dessert we ordered was strawberry ice cream....

but i feel it is normal !

anyway , want to mention that their GREEN TEA is very nice...not because it is FOC but it really had the fragrant of the tea !
