Met up at cine to have dinner. We waited for JS until very hungry. I had craving for Korean food but no nice Korean food nearby (the Heeren one close le. *sad sad*) then I was sooo hungry that I guess any nice food also can lah. We end up choosing this place call Shokudo. They serve Japanese Pasta and Pizza. No one in our group tried the Pizza though..
Because of some glitch in their network or something, somehow everyone's orders didn't get the kitchen. So, we had to wait somemore for our order!!! faints...
hahas.. Hubby's food came first..
First photo is his Pasta. Looks better in life lah, because I'm a lazy and lousy photographer, anyhow snap snap snap.. so look like plastic right? hees..

Just like that, we spent about 2 hours at Shokudo.
Price wise abit expensive loh. but they got student pasta. :)

He says they serve good chicken.
The meal we ordered came with 3 side dish (of your choice), half a chicken, a stab of ribs and 2 muffins which they claim to have the best somewhere on one of the boards.
The set doesn't include drinks though.. Out of all the side dish we choosed, I like the coslaw (sorry, I don't know how to spell) the best. It's yummylishes. ;)
The muffins from what hubby said, it's pretty ok. I was too full to have them and when I wanted to have them at home, the ants beat me to it. Boo hoo...
I love the free chocolates. Hubby says it's good chocolate. yum yum.. :)
I guess, I would be back to try the other side dishes!

I know clubbing is like not the norm on Sunday, but there is this event "newurbanmale.com anniversary party" and I've won like "free tixs", so I went..
Time stated 9pm-4am. I went ard 9.15, there was no one inside and things were not set up yet! I got the goodie bag that's like pretty empty. The only thing I liked was the paper bag itself. Anyway, there was NO ONE to chop my hand or anything but a staff pointed to a door for us to go in. No bouncer.
We ordered 2 drinks and since it's one for one, one of our drinks should be free right? but no, the staffs were new and pressed 2 bottles, so we were charged 2 bottles and given 4 bottles to drink. I was like. Since there the place is like so empty, I only wanted 1 bottle so I can finish and go off soon.

I wanted to go to the washroom. The washroom is located outside. When I went out to go to the toilet, a lady told me I wasn't allowed to go to the toilet, it's for VIPs ONLY. I decide I'll just go back in to ask my bf how. Then I got stopped by a very fierce bouncer. He didn't care if he just saw me coming out of the exit like less than 30 seconds ago. He says no stamp, no entry and I should go buy tickets if I want to re-enter the place again. He didn't care if I'm out to go toilet or what. I was like so scared, cause it's the first time I go there and I've no idea how they operate.
I was called my bf who's inside for help. He took me to the toilet, the lady who stopped me from going to the toilet, wasn't around. When I was near the toilet, another lady wanted to stop me from going to the toilet. -.-
I don't understand what's with blocking people from going to their toilets? Can't they hold their "VIPs" meeting elsewhere???
Then bf and I wanted to go back in to finish our drinks and the same bouncer stopped us again. This time my bf told him we just went in less than 30mins ago and we have drinks inside. The bouncer told the manager or something that we're trying to create trouble and are being "excited". -.- We even have the receipts to prove that we were inside loh.
We manage to get stamped and got back in. Drank a bit and left the place with 2 and a half bottles of drinks wasted.

I didn't like the staffs outside though. She didn't tell us about the various cards promo and also there are no signs saying that there are promos.
The drinks aren't too expensive and I like the coaster. :p
The staffs inside are pretty sweet and I'm not just saying it because my friend works there okay.. :P
The crowd's pretty scary after a certain time, so I didn't stay till too late. Too little toilets!! End up, my friends and I went outside to find toilets.
I'm stuck between giving an average and a good.
Might revise the rating after my second trip. ;)

The only thing I hate about GV at vivocity is the VISA plat priority queue. The counter is NEVER opened. Hubby and I went there to buy tickets and twice the counter is closed but the queue is opening for queuing. I'm not sure if you get what I'm saying. haiz..
First time, we went there on a weekday night and there weren't many people, in fact that's no one in queue but hubby and I decide to go by the visa priority queue since it's straight and short and not long and curvy like the normal queue.
Another couple went into the normal queue after us. When the counter is free, the girl behind the counter decide to serve the other couple first even though we were there first!! I was really pissed not only because we're in the priority queue and hubby have already taken out the card but because we were there first! If they don't serve that queue, at least seal it up or move it away. We got so pissed we decide to go home and not watch movie that night.
Second time is yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
There was a queue at the normal queue but no queue at the priority queue, so hubby took out his Visa plat card and queued up at the priority queue. Some people queue behind us, which means we weren't the only people in the queue.
They(GV) served a few customers from the normal queue and after waiting for about 5mins, it seems that everyone behind the counter is ignoring all of us in the priority queue.
Hubby got a little pissed because it's the second time it's happening and we've never had that problem with other GVs. So he decide to ask for the manager, that's when the girl behind the counter asked if we're paying by visa in a "I'm really busy, if you're looking for trouble please stay away" tone. Hubby asked for the manager and she ask us if we're paying by visa again. I nearly wanted to tell her, no we're paying by hell-notes. That's how pissed I felt, but nah, I didn't say that lah.
When the manager came out he gave instructions to another staff before coming to the counter to talk to hubby. Hubby asked if the bank or visa is not giving them enough perks thus they are not operating the counter/queue, since it's not the first time that we were ignored. He (the manager) asked if we were paying by visa even before replying.
I feel really puzzled. If we weren't paying by Visa why are we queuing there? Do we have "don't know how to read" written on our faces??? Anyway the staffs and manager weren't apologetic at all, so we decide not to watch the movie and walked off.
I really like the place, but if it weren't for the poor attitude by their staffs I would have given them a much better rating. For now, it'll be a 2 star.

Same problem on weekday and weekend I guess we must be really unlucky loh. :(
