Will updated with this year's review soon. :)

Hubby and I were exploring vivocity.
This time, we went to WHITE DOG CAFE.

In the 1st and 3rd photo features the interesting "milk" bottle which is used to put plain drinking water. Which I later on found from the bottom of the bottle that it's from IKEA. :) (pardon then blur photos) :P

    WHITE DOG CAFE
    Food: 7/10
    Deco/View: 9/10
    Service: 6/10
    Cost: 7/10
    Total: 29/40

The food's pretty good, the deco are alright, the sea view is fantastic, but the waiting time could be shorter though. They did take sometime to take our orders, good for those who takes a long time deciding what they want to eat. Not good for hungry people like me. :P

Notice   Different   Chicken Wings   Salmon   Meatballs
My current favourite place to dine and shop at is IKEA!

When hubby and I went to have our fix of chicken wings and Swedish meatballs on 5th April 2008, we saw bad news at the Restaurant.

The restaurant would be closed from 7th April to 22May!
    I'm so upset can. :(

Because the restaurant is normally always full, we always attack in this order.

    1) Find seats.
    2) While looking for table, discuss what we want to eat.
    3) After finding the table, one person sits to "chop the table".
    4) The other person clears table and quickly runs off to buy food for both.
    5) Attack the food. :)
    6) Clear own table after finishing.

    hahas.

Anyway, what I thought is interesting at Ikea, is that on their tables, instead of signs introducing food, they have signs advertising their furniture! Cute right? :)

On 5th, we had chicken wings, smoked salmon, meatballs and lime jelly. The price is pretty average. Not too expensive, only trouble is looking for seats and clearing the table on your own if you don't wanna wait for the helpers to help you clear them.

Both hubby and I love the lood at Ikea. :)
Writing this review is making me really really hungry. :(
Can't wait to go back there to eat and shop again.

The Vivocity branch has poor customer service! My hubby made bookings. We were to share tables with lots of other people in a very small space. They thought we're with this uncle who came slightly after us. When he asked for menu, they only gave him and never give us. So we asked for menu, then they took very long to get us menu . Some more give us attitude. -.-''

After ordering our food, lots of other customers arrived.. We know it's quite normal for the place to be fully filled every moment, so that's okay.. We had some tea.. those who came after us were ordering food. We finish almost 2 pots of tea, no food yet. Those who ordered 30mins after us, got their food le! (we only ordered 1 noddle and 1 plate of prawns). Hubby was really angry, he left to help me some stuffs outside. Then the food arrived. lols. I thought they wait for him to go off then serve us. :p

They didn't give us servlets/napkin (- the thing put on lap one leh.. whatever you call that) when they gave everybody else 1. After have our 2rd prawn using the chopsticks and spoon to "peel" the prawn's shell, they give us the lemon thingy to wash finger. -.- I'm like got this one didn't bring out earlier.. make me struggle with the prawn for so long. :p and NO, the prawns didn't fly lah! Just that I dun feel comfortable using chopsticks and spoon to "strip" the prawn..

When we called for the bill, it didn't come. We waited and waited. They clear the whole table le, still no sign of bill. I had to get the attention of another person to get our bill to us. -.- Then the bill finally came, darling pay le, then we wait and wait again for the change. Meanwhile, we just sit there staring at each other and the empty part of the table. lols. so angry yet so funny. Anyway, I went out feeling super happy cause finally can get out of that place! Phew..

After many months of passing-by the shop and promising to try out "next time", hubby and I finally decide to eat at Bosses one late night.

Maybe because it's near closing or because they didn't have enough staffs, we stood outside the shop for quite sometime before someone spotted us.

We ordered tea, congee and some side dishes.

The food arrived first and I was slightly pissed that they forgot about our tea. We had to remind them that they have yet to serve us our tea, but after that "reminder", they kept refilling our teapot. lol.

Hubby love the food and we both think it's somewhat better than Crystal Jade. I felt that it's rather expensive but hubby thinks it's worth the price we pay. :)

I like the tea cups with handles because I'm not very good at holding hot tea cups. Hubby likes the 3-button "remote" that's placed on every table. He thinks it's very useful since we can easily get assistance for bill, water and help. At first I was quite skeptical about this remote, but after "testing" it, sure am I impressed with their speed. :)

    20. Bangkok

I've been to Bangkok 3 times. The recent 2 times, I stayed at Asia hotel (mid July 06 & end December 07).

If you are going there to shop, Asia hotel is a good place to stay at. It's connected to a BTS (Bangkok Transit System) Skytrain station and is walking distance from BMK and a few other shopping places.

Food wise, there's a little seafood restaurant located just next to the hotel that serves pretty good food at a pretty affordable prices. Eg. about SGD50 for a group of 5 adults. We ordered rice, 5 dishes (fish/prawn/scallop and vegetable/tomyam/green curry) and 1 bowl of bird's nest each.

I love shopping at Bangkok, but I hate the traffic. Their traffic's quite bad, so normally I just either take the skytrain or walk.

The one thing I don't like about Bangkok, it's the airport. Their staffs are quite "racist" giving different kind of service for different people. We were at this sports bar, ordered 5 set meals. After serving 2 set meals, an "angmo" couple came in. They took their orders and served their food first!

When we asked if our food were ready, they told us the chef is still fixing our food (salmon salad and 2 mango sticky rice). We waited another 30mins for our other 3 sets but it never came. (By the way, there were no other customers.) We have a flight to catch and knew we couldn't wait endlessly, so we wanted to cancel our order and they say we cannot cancel even though they have not even started fixing our food??? I was like thinking WTH, they told us 30mins ago they were fixing the food and then they come and tell us they have not fixed the food and want us to wait some more. By that time we were really late so we said we'll pay of the food but we wouldn't be eating there. My boyfriend stayed to pay up while the rest of us rushed to catch the plane. End up, they felt bad and decide to pack the food for us, and the crew were kind enough to let us bring the food inboard. (Which I thought was funny because they only took a few mins to pack the food yet take so long to serve us?) -.-

The other thing about the airport is that almost all the toilets are "under-construction". Look at the photo I've uploaded. It says "Ready in service in this December". When I was there it was already end of December yet almost all the toilets are still under construction.

When we where at Bangkok, many shopping centres closes around 8plus, so if you want to shop more, you should try walking around and explore. There are many shops nearby the shopping centres (night market). We were not the street smart, took a tuktuk and went all the way to the Bangkok Night Bazaar. Those who doesn't really know how to bargain, try not to go to the Bangkok Night Bazaar. Everything there is expensive and well, I see more "angmos" then their own people. hahas. End up wasting my boyfriend's sis and my time.

So yeah, I feel like I've ranted a lot.
    Hope that helps? :p
