My friend and I decided to try out this place for lunch after reading rather good reviews from some of the food blogs.
This place was really secluded thus there wasn't much of a crowd. Including us, there are only a total of 4 people eating.
My friend ordered the chicken zoni set. He said it was pretty refreshing. The homemade glutinous rice cakes in the soup was really good and at the right "mochi" texture.
I ordered the unatamaju (unagi egg) set. OMG is all i can say. It does not taste like your standard commercial sweet unagi. You can totally tell that it's homemade. It's very soft and goes really well with the peppery egg.
For dessert, we had the matcha pudding and the caramel pudding. both were pretty good but i preferred the caramel one more. the matcha pudding itself does not have much of a taste but the azuki did have a contrast to it.
As for the service, it was good. The chef herself came out and asked us if the food was to our liking. She's so cute.
We paid $50 for...
