Where can i find breakfast early in the morning in a shopping center? I do not think this is possible till Joe my friend brought me here.

It was around 7 plus early in the morning and Joe initiated to bring me over to jurong point shopping centre. At the particular time, i only thought of having a simple early breakfast in those 24 hour kopitiam rather than going to shop. But he assured me that there are early breakfast there.

Since i decided to believe in him, we both make way to the jurong point shopping centre. I was rather amazed when i reach the place, true enough there are really stores that open early in the morning to provide breakfast for us people. I just wonder what time do they need to wake up in order to prepare the food.

What this store attracts me is definitely the long queue. As there are no signage at the top of their store, i could not figure out what they are selling until i reach the front of the store.

They actually sells you tiao, butterfly, salted bun, sweet bun, etc. In their open concept design, one could see how the dough is kneaded , fried and become ready to be served on the shelves.

Their stuff actually sell at quite a fast speed so at times one will have to wait for some time before the next batch of food is ready.

I loved their butterfly. I think they called it butterfly due to the similar resemblence of shape. Actually, it is just a simple dough without any fillings inside.

Although there is no fillings to give the additional taste to the butterfly, it still taste fantastic just eating it alone.

A lightly sweetened and sprinkled with some sesame seads butterly tasted real good especially when eaten hot. Not a wasted trip after all. :)

Was really really very hungry when i just could not find the crepe house (earlier review), so i decided to grab the egg tart first.

Ok, this is not my first time eating tong heng egg tart. In the past, my mama used to buy the tong heng egg tarts from the shop in south bridge road for me. She told me that no one can compare the egg tarts with them. True enough, when i sink my teeth into their egg tart the first time, i fall in love with it immediately.

This time round, their price increased quite substainially. In the past, i used to get egg tarts for 90 cents but now it has rose to 1 dollar and 25 cents. A rather tremendous rise i can say.

As a consumer, i think the risen price can be acceptable as ingredients price are rising up nowadays. But one importanthe thing is that their quality must not fall.

When i sinked my teeth into their egg tart, i was rather disappointed. However, let me first praise the egg tart for their egg mixture as its is very very smooth and not forgetting their egg tart crust which is very nice and crispy.

Whats more the egg tart is warm, this may be due to the quick replenish of the egg tart stock as alot of people buy them.

Now for the disappointment part is that, i taste abit sourish in their egg tart. I do not know if its because their egg tart has gone back or due to their different ingredients. But this sourish taste, really did not give me a good impression in their egg tart.

Someone told me that this store was located in B2 and i walked twice and still could not find the store. In the end, when i was feeling rather disappointed, it suddenly appeared right in front of me.

Ok, after spending quite a bit of effort in finding the store, it is almost impossible for me not to have one of the crepe in my hands.

This pinky store uses a open concept kind of idea in its store. Thus, one will be able to see every single step in making the crepe. I quickly make my order (banana ice cream crepe).

One thing that i found out when ordering, is that they actually can choose the flavour of the ice cream. So, if the display item say vanilla ice cream, you can actually request to change it to chocolate ice cream (which i did). However, the green tea ice cream will cost an additional 50 cents more which i can't figure out why till now.

I almost thought that i could see how they make the crepe. To my disappointment, the crepes are ready make. So, off she went to put in some fresh cream and bananas plus one scope of chocolate ice cream. The end product looks kinda nice.

The first bite into the product was how come the crepe skin is soft. Orginally, i thought that the crepe skin is hard so when you bite the crepe, you can feel the crispness of the skin.

The soft crepe skin make the whole thing rather flimsy thus it requires some skill to rather eat the crepe with style. One thing to comment is their ice cream taste fantastic. I think that is the only thing i love about this crepe.

Price wise, i think its abit steep for such crepe to cost more than 5 bucks.

Ger, my friend is a super fan for japanese ramen. Whenever there is a new store selling ramen, he will definitely be there to try them out.

This particular store of ramen @ railway mall is not exactly new, guess it should have been operating for a few years now. As it is located near the west side of singapore, Ger still did not have a chance to try them out.

One day out of a sudden, Ger actually asked me to accompany him for a lunch at ramen ramen. Of course, i agreed as i have not eaten ramen for quite some time now.

The place was rather inaccessible. Take for example, if one alights at the opposite bus stop, he / she will have to walk quite a distance before reaching a traffic light junction. After crossing the road at the traffic light junction, he / she will have to walk back a distance before reaching the railway mall.

Luckily we drove there, so it saved us the trouble to walk up and down. But,we have another trouble, that is to find a parking space. Due to the limited amount of parking lots, we waited a quite some time before finding a space to park our car.

Looking at the venue, i realised they have quite a varieties of ramen. One of the most special ramen is definitely their shark fin ramen. Of course, the price is also very special too. hee hee.

After browsing through the menu, we ordered cheese ramen and japanese fried toufu. After reasonable waiting time, our cheese ramen has arrived. Orignally i thought they would put in lots of cheese so the broth will be very cheesy and thick. To my disappointment, the only piece of cheese i saw was the small cube of cheese right in the middle of the bowl of ramen.

Frankly speaking, the appearance of the ramen is not that exciting. Side ingredient includes few pieces of meat(pork i guess), half a piece of half boiled egg and some seaweed which is not really my idea of ramen. But i guess, this is how japanese ramen will look like.

One thing i will like to highlight is that their broth is really rich. I believe they have used up a fairly bit of fresh ingredients in order to achieve such rich taste. Guess, this is the only thing that i like about this ramen.

Walking along orchard road in a bright hot sunny day always make me craved so something cold and yummy. This first thing that came into my mind is definitely ICE CREAM!

Ok, i am quite a fan for ice cream, be it those from the roadside trishaw uncle ones or those from the designers cafe ones. Since this particular outlet is located somewhere in the middle of the orchard road, it is also one of my usual patronised store.

Located right in the enterance, one will never going to miss this store when entering the centerpoint shopping centre. They have a great varieties of ice cream and for those ladies who are afraid of being fat, there are sorbet for you to choose from.

For me, i still prefer ice cream than sorbet as sorbet seems like eating ice rather than ice cream. hee hee. I have tried quite a few flavours from them, but ultimately i still prefer their unique melon flavour.

Why do i say it is unique? That is definitely because of their strong melon taste ( but not over powering) and their real melon bits in their ice cream. Their melon bits is not those super small size kind that can hardly be seen.

I can taste their melon bits in almost every bite of the ice cream. A rather generous amount of melon used, i think. Beside their smooth creamy ice cream, the next nicest thing would definitely be their biscuit waffle cone.

Their waffle cone has a very nice biscuitte taste and seems to make a perfect combi with the ice cream. Strongly recommend to try their ice cream in their waffle cone. However, they now charge an additional one dollar for ice cream in waffle cone. Pretty sad thing for ice cream lovers i can say.
