I'll go there for meal whenever I got a huge appetite & cravings because the servings are big & there's a good variety of side dishes to choose from.

Although I'm not much into pork, I quite like their ribs, especially the BBQ sauce which really compliments the ribs. The roast chicken is good too! With a coating of glaze and herbs on the chicken skin and the chicken skin is roasted to almost fatless, it makes me feel less sinful to eat it. Haha...

As for the sides, my favourite is corn muffins followed by the corn nibbles. Other than the corn, they also have different potato side dishes like galic potato, mashed potato and potato salad. Of course there's the greens as well.

I've also noticed that most of the waiters and waitresses there are the elderly. Seems like it's quite a pro-elderly place, that's good!

On the overall, felt happily satisfied. Both with the food and the friendly waiters.

Grilled Sirloin Steak with Garlic Mushroom Sauce
I went over to the restaurant at Holland Village with my colleagues during lunch hour to celebrate one of their birthdays. This outlet consists of 2 floors, with the ground floor having a bar. There's like 13 of us so we took the long table upstairs and it was freaking cold! Yah, it'll be good to bring a jacket along then. Haha

They do have a set lunch menu which provides a good variety of main course ranging from their famous grilled steak to salads. Soup and dessert are also included in the set. Compared to the ala carte menu, it's definitely value for money.

I have ordered grilled sirloin steak wih garlic mushroom sauce. Nice! Like the way they grilled the steak but wished that they would be more generous with the sauce. Another thing I like about their food is their Hog Tail fries. So crispy!

However, the pan-fried dory fish fillet wasn't so satisfying for one of my colleagues. Well, I guess since the place is famous for it's steak, one should really try that.

The meal was completed with a sinful indulge on the dessert - brownie with ice cream. Nice if you are someone with a sweet tooth. But the restaurant was very sweet to prepare a large brownie with ice cream and strawberries and even a lighted candle for our birthday girl.

      Nice place for steak!

Last evening I went over to the restaurant with my colleague & German boss. The place is nicely done & we took an outdoor seat which was great! It gives you a nice view of the sea and part of Sentosa. Heez...

Ok, coming back to the food, I have ordered the butter Dory fillet with mushroom, and the other 2 main dishes ordered by my colleagues were the braised veal and smoked pork loin. I quite like the main course which I've ordered, nice & thick cut of dory fillet, except that the mushroom sauce was abit too salty. As for the braised veal, it tasted not-too-bad to my German boss. The smoked pork loin was more of a disappointment to my colleague as it turned out to be 4 slices of ham on top of a heap of mashed potato.

However, I think their German beers had compensated for the disappointment in the food for the night. I had both the Paulaner Weissbier & Paulaner Weissbier Dunkel, served chilled in tall, elegant glasses. Personally, I have preference for Paulaner Weissbier as it tastes lighter and less bitter.

On the overall, it's a nice place to have a couple of drinks with your friends!

The Sweet Potato Placw   Roasted Sweet Potato
After being told by my friend that there's this little shop hiding at the Tasty Treatz corner, near Tower 3/Carrefour of Suntec City Mall which sells sweet potato snacks, we've decided to give it a try.

For the 2 times that I've been there, I've tried the roasted sweet potato which was really good! Like the way they roasted it in a big pot. Infact, that's a Taiwanese-patented infrared oven! The sweet potato was nice & soft and the skin could be easily peeled off too. I simply fell in love with the roasted sweet potato. Haha!

Their service was great too. Very friendly people, and they even provide you with serviettes.

Other items on the menu include sweet potato fries, mashed sweet potato and sweet potato rolls. On top of these, they even sell flavoured sweet potato drinks. I shall try them next time. Heez...

It's definitely a healthy snack (except for maybe the fries) and it gives me another reason to eat now. Haha...

             Thai Desserts
My friend was craving for Tom Yam soup that day so we decided to try out at this restaurant. Haha..

Actually it isn't exactly a restaurant (for this branch) as it merely occupies a space near the entrance of Woodlands Civic Centre. Furthermore, there isn't a proper kitchen too.

On top of the Tom Yam soup my friend had ordered, I ordered a papaya salad. They were pretty fast with their service. However, the food did not turn out too well. My friend commented that the Tom Yam soup only tasted sour & spicy but no Tom Yam taste, while my papaya salad was a little too salty.

No idea if it's because there was a queue of customers waiting for seats or they made a mistake, the waiter was eager to push us for payment when we had no intention to as we wanted to have some Thai desserts. So then we ordered the Tago, which is infact Thai pudding with coconut jelly in pandan cups. On top of that, I've ordered the assorted thai desserts for take-home. The desserts turned out to be not bad.

On the overall, I would still prefer the other Thai restaurant, both in terms of food and service, although it is a little more pricey.

Oh yah, another point about this restaurant here. They don't serve free plain water!
