Of all the Daiso outlets, this is the most conveniently and centrally located one. Unfortunately, like the other outlets, it is also very very cramped inside. With all the crowds drawn to the cheap ($2) products on sale, the queues can be rather daunting. Especially when they have new arrivals, and staff are deployed throughout the store packing new items, it is even more crowded and hard to manoueuvre around.
But who can complain about the wide range of products on sale! Sometimes even when I am not thinking of buying anything I love to browse through the shelves to see all the weird and wonderful gadgets the great Japanese minds come up with. Good reference when I do actually need such items.
daiso is nice though the shop seems to be a little "cramped". they really should get a bigger space to showcase the variety of items that they have. everything sold there is at $2 each, an affordable price for many. ambience-wise, it's nice too.
there are a lot of designs and items that are rather unique and cannot be found elsewhere. I like their stationery section a lot because of the cute designs. they sell clear folders with 60 pockets that i can't even find in Popular!
in addition, they sell many tasty food there too! =D
whenever I make a trip to Plaza Singapura, I will always visit their store. =)
I have shopped at Daiso many times. But this time, it was a unhappy one. I purchased a total of 24 times. The total bill was $48. My husband grumbled at me for buying unnecessary things. Yes. Daiso's stuffs are go great which just cost $2 and they are too hard to resist.
After being grumbled, I am already not feeling very happy and guess what when I reached home? I took out the items one by one and there are only 22 items!!!!!
Where are the remaining 2 items? Yes, I counted the number of item correctly before I pay so the cashier did not make any mistake!!! Later on I recalled, I realised, the cashier after counting the number of items did not place the last 2 items into the bag!!!
She only busy counting the number of items but did not pack them properly.
Sighz... I should have check after I left the shop. I am so angry because the 2 missing items are what I NEEDED and not because I bought them out of impulse!!!!
Arghhhhhhhhhhh...... Anyway, I will still shop at Daiso because their stuffs cannot be found else where in Singapore.
Me luvs Daiso! Everything for $2.. No frills, no complicated T&Cs... Simply, everything for $2.
You can find many many many things here. I like buying some houseware stuff like laundry bag, hangers, and also some storage like plastic box and things. They also have tasty japanese snacks and cooking spices. And I also like their collection of kitchenwares. I buy virtually all my kitchenware from Daiso. Quality is so-so, since it's only $2.. But also because it's only $2 you can just buy and buy it again lolz.
I think what I don't like from this branch is its cramped space. Sometimes I'm very scared to knock down some stuff especially when I'm walking with my huge bag.
Well overall I still love this shop since I can find virtually anything for only $2~
