Eating at New York, New York has been a great experience. Well, I must say that I am one lucky individual to have not gotten through an ordeal in long wait, poor service or disappointment. It is my second top choice when I crave for Western food. They have big servings that make it favorable to share with your family or friends. The food is fantastic (well, I’m easy to please , as long as the food captures the taste I want). Dining in at this restaurant is like being in NY – hustle and bustle of the city, busy and crowded. But I like that and it does not discount the fact that NY is a hip place! I will keep coming back to NYNY as long as I lived, and as I’m in Singapore. Perhaps they can consider expanding to other countries like Manila? It’ll be a hit!

      2. Singapore Airlines

Travelling with Singapore Airlines is so far, so good. I must say, its services are at par with global standards; no wonder, it is capable of providing its passengers the real comfortable experience. SIA is what a flag carrier should be. I hope some owners or executives of other flag carriers must take SIA flights and take the opportunity to learn about the airline’s best practices and probably, apply them on their own. Just like the country it represents, SIA does not content with mediocrity; instead, it continues to reinvent and improve itself to be the best. From the few flag carriers I traveled with, SIA is on top of my list. Keep up the great work err flight!

The thought of Toastbox sparks the craving for the uberlicious kaya toasts, eggs along with a cup of tea. Breadtalk, on the other hand, makes me want the chicken floss bread which has been a staple order for a few years now. Going back to Toastbox, it never fails to satiate my desire of a perfect breakfast or afternoon snack or merienda experience. I ate once at VivoCity , with a couple of good friends. The ambience was great and conducive for chitchats and more chitchats than ever. I like the smell, look and feel of the place. Well, for Breadtalk, maybe they can consider setting up their dine-in place, too.

I can say that watching Mediacorp Channel 5 is included in my daily routine. It has been a good source of information and entertainment. I like watching the 9.30pm news as it gives a great roundup of what transpired throughout the day. It is news that’s good, far different from what I used to listen to before, back in my home country, the Philippines. It’s news that stirs up positive energies and instills hope into the listeners, especially now that the whole world is down and drained in recession. As for entertainment, the shows know how to give fun to the viewers, talking about the sitcoms and game shows.

An institution of coffee brewing in Singapore. I am not a regular at this place, however each time I get to visit my client at ComCenter in Somerset, I will ask them to take time to go for tea break and drop by at this coffee shop. Expect this place to be a lilttle bit crowded but nevermind, the thick, soothing coffee that they serve here really fits my caffeine dosage. And surprisingly, for the few times I have taken my cup of coffee here, the consistency of its taste has not change. Unlike in some coffee shops, today is a li'l bit pale, tomorrow its too sweet.

What also interest me at this place is the type of crowd you expect to see. Since food and drinks here cost a few cents more than normal shops, middle class / professionals are mostly the patrons. Expect them to be well dressed, groomed and look fine.

Bottomline, its their coffee im coming for. I could say they always brew coffee perfect for my taste.
