I agree with genesis's review above that Manhanttan Fish Market has really good fish and chips! Unlike fish and chips at some other places, which are dry or too oily for liking, the fish served in MFM is really tasty and delicious. It melts in the mouth and oozes with delightable taste of the freshness.

I went there once and..i really like the cosy ambience..but yeah, would prefer it to be quieter to enjoy small talks with my friends. Yet overall, it was still okay, and the service was quite good. =)

Visit MFM if u love fish and seafood~ :)

From the above comments, it seems like the campaign is pretty effective. I do agree that the government should not hide the ugly images from the public, just because it may frighten some people. Facts are facts, potential smokers (unfortunately they are the younger generation) need to be frightened.

However, I do wonder if those campaign pictures used are real or not. I personally feel that it would be quite a sensitive issue for a sufferer to be approached and asked to be photographed and publicized. I have my doubts about the sources of these pictures, and actually did hear that they are not real. Hmm.. I wonder how true is it..?

This place is not bad, but I won't say it really lives up to it's name. It's not exactly a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant. Yes it does have a slight vietnamese flavour, but the dishes available are rather similar to those you can get at Chinese restaurants.

But one good thing about this place would be that you get to eat chinese-vietnamese food altogether! And the food there is pretty affordable for the air-conditioned and quiet environment you get there. Food is served very quickly, good for people who doesn't like to wait long for their food.

I used to think that NYDC had really amazing food, from the impression I had from the exciting names they came up with for their dishes. I went there once. The place was nicely decorated, just as how similar cafes like Cafe Cartel and Breeks! are like. But it wasn't exactly a very fantastic experience. Maybe it's because of the over-exciting name of their dishes, when the food was served, it didn't seem as exciting after all.

I must say that the service at NYDC is fine, and the quality of their food is above average. But I feel that it does not give you the "wow" feeling. And for some dishes, you probably can find almost the same thing at a cheaper price elsewhere.

For people who have not been to this place, I would suggest that you find a time to go to this hawker centre at ECP. It has almost everything you can find at any hawker centre - carrot cake, duck rice, chicken rice, dessert and drinks stall, fishball noodles, satay etc. But they have one of the best ones around! I'm sure this makes it slightly more attractive than the other hawker centres around.

For those who have been here before, I'm sure you agree that it is not an ideal place to go with a large group of friends. Being a popular place, it is always packed during dinner time. It is hard to find a table for two, let alone for a large group of friends.

Nonetheless, I'd still suggest that people go try the food here. There must be something about this place that attracts so many people there (perhaps the atmosphere and the buffet of choice!)

Yes I agree! I've been to this place once. Never heard of it actually, though it is supposedly a very popular place (or so I've heard). When I got there, I thought it was some random place you'll find at district 10, but when the food was served, it proved that it was not just "yet another place around the block".

This place is definitely for meat lovers, especially those with a super HUGE appetite! It's almost like a eat-all-you-can place, with the huge servings. It's not just a meat place, their desserts are not bad too! I remember the chocolate souffle that I had there. It was good!

Worth your time. (Only that the place could get really packed. A crowded place in a restaurant with limited space is not exactly an ideal place to dine for me. )

    2467. Chapter 2

    zihui zihui says:

Located near a bus stop just beside Bugis Village, Chapter 2 is a hair salon very convenient to get to. Apart from that, it is a place with a rather different atmosphere. It does not look like a "designer place" but it gives people the feeling that it is a rather lively place.

Hairdressers at this salon are mainly people who are quite young, but this does not mean that they are inexperienced. The place seems to be quite popular and it is always quite packed. Then again, I'm not surprised, because the last 5 times or so that I've been there, I left with a very satisfied haircut. One of those times, the hairdresser attending to me actually suggested to make a small change to my hair which eventually gave a very different touch on the overall.

I would say this place is not a bad place to go to for a good haircut, especially for people who are very particular about leaving the salon with a presentable hairstyle.

    Fishball noodles !

Located at bedok south, opposite TJC , this place has got good fishball noodles! I never really liked fishballs before, but the fishballs here are delicious and is a must try! Plus the noodles of course. They've got soup and dry noodles, but I've never tried the soup ones before. But this shop is definitely good and I believe everyone agrees so too , since there's always an extremely long queue during lunch hours .

    Try it !

Haven't tried Pepper Lunch? Then you should drop by one of their outlets today!

Pepper Lunch originates from Japan, and it's a fastfood steakhouse that offers really good dishes. Service was prompt and friendly as well.

My friend insisted that I should try it out, and brought me there last week. We went to the branch at the new Ang Mo Kio Hub, and I had their Combo Series: Cut Steak & Chicken. The steak and chicken were great! Tender and tasty. :)

I had a different experience cooking the meat on the hotplate though! Haha..a note for those who haven't been there, do bring someone who is more 'experienced', cos..the hotplate tends to sizzle for a while and 'dies off'. So u have to cook fast!

Quite a healthy spread in my opinion. Oh, and many friends have told me that their "Shake! Shake! Salad!" is a must-try. Maybe you can drop by Pepper Lunch one day and give it a try! :)

Wondering where you can go for an exotic meal of a different culture and wonderful ambience? Then visit Cafe Iguana today! I first tried Mexican food at Cafe Iguana during a class gathering and it was great! It really made me want to return there for more.

The ambience was cosy and quite romantic, facing the river at Clarke Quay and the feel within the restaurant/bar was comfortable and relaxing too.

In addition to the great ambience, was the great food.

The grilled chicken fajitas I had were good~ Though I was a little clumsy in wrapping them up (like chinese popiahs) and eating them with my hands, they still tasted great. =)

Though they were well-known for their exotic tequila drinks, we had their house pour lime margaritas and it was quite good. Service was quite prompt with the friendly staff as well.

Kids meals are also offered at Cafe Iguana! So whether it's with your amigos or with your family, don't hesitate to try Cafe Iguana if you are seeking out a new alternative for dining!
