VivoCity (Chinese: 怡丰城) is the largest shopping mall at the HarbourFront precinct in Singapore. Opened on 7 October 2006, it marked the completion of the main structure by a topping-out ceremony on 18 April 2006 and was officially opened on 1 December 2006. Derived from the word vivacity, VivoCity, according to Mapletree Chairman Edmund Cheng, "evokes a lifestyle experience that is modern, stimulating and accessible to everyone, a place bubbling with energy and flowing with vitality". At the end of the first week of operations, the mall had received nearly a million visitors.

Ok, i shouldn't say huge because it's been said too many times in the reviews above. So, i'll say.. big.
But by saying Vivocity is big, i would be implying Plaza Singapura is a dwarf !!
Whatever the size, it's really what's inside that matters. The variety of stores and food outlets in Vivocity is a miracle. My personal favourite ? Candy Empire. :) Every knows of Vivocity as a HUUUGEEEE deparmental shopping centre. But did you know that the opening of Vivocity recorded a massive flow of people into the shopping centre ? This makes it one of our favourite local attraction to date.
A whole floor dedicated to food outlets, Toys'R'us, a supermarket, movie theatre, and even a open view of Sentosa.. Vivocity is a uniquely different shopping centre.
Vivocity would count as one of Singapore's landmark tourist attraction AS well as her local's favourite. A true class shopping centre.

As what most people would say, this place is HUGE. With it's range of shops, I can say that there's something for everyone. However, I would still very much prefer to go to orchard instead. As Vivo is targeting a wide range of shoppers, we can say that it's a great place for shopping if you just want to walk around and see if anything catches your eye. But if you're looking for clothes, for example, it will be hard to find anything you'll like. As the clothing shops all have very different style and targeted market. You might find a few shops that you like, and find that the others doesn't really suit your taste. Vivo is however, a great place for sightseeing, also there's a wide range of food to chose from. Which is the reason why I like going to vivo, although most of the time I'll end up not buying anything.
